???about Gp Code & Blackout Dates???

Hi! I posted this question last week but didn't get an answer so I thought I'd try again!

I've seen on mousesavers that this recent GP code comes available every year at this time but I didn't notice the blackout dates in the past.

Have these 10 days in Dec. (this year 12/3-12/13) always been blacked out w/ this GP code? Or is this the first year it has happend?

We are getting ready to book for December 2009 and I was set on 12/4-12/13 but I would consider switching if those dates will be blacked out again! That GP discount could be the difference in our family getting the DDP or not, so I would love to take advantage of it if offered.

If anyone knows the answer I would greatly appreciate it!

Dont call today because the systems are down but call tomorrow and have them check those dates. From what Ive seen there are NO blackout dates even though they list them. I know people that booked on supposedly blacked out dates.

POP WARNER is usually the first week in December so that may be why they are not offering a discount. If you are staying in a value, be prepared to deal with tons of kids. However, if you're staying in a MOD or DLX you probably won't see the POP WARNER kids on property. I would still call to check though

Not sure if all are blackedout, but generally the availability of rooms is very limited because that is such a busy time, with Pop Warner, mousefest and other activities, rooms are filled. If rooms are filled, then no discounts are offered. Those are my dates for next year, so I've been watching this info. I'm preparing for no discounts for 2009, so if I get one, it will be icing on the cake. If you book what you are willing to pay, then there is no disappointment later is no discounts are offered.

I know it says those dates are blacked out but I was able to apply the discount to all 4 of our grand gathering rooms from Dec 2-8. However I called at 7am the day the code came out so that may have something to do with it but for me the codes were not blacked out the first week of December.

So try it now, it may be worth a shot. But I think maybe everything is mostly booked.

Pop Warner is actually the 2nd week this year. But ITA with this poster STAY AWAY FROM THE VALUES THAT WEEK

I agree w/ you on this and I am prepared to pay rack rate if need be (which is why we go value season!). A discount would just give us a little extra for fun money. But if I can change the dates to 'up' my chances for a discount, I certainly would do that.

We have no intention of staying at a value if we do go that week and actually our fave resort, POFQ, is out of the question too from what I understand. So, we will choose a different mod!

Thanks for the info...I guess we just need to pick our best week and keep our fingers crossed for a discount of some sort!!!

The 4th through 12th are not discounted as per the AP section on WDW website. I tried to book a room and nothing was available in the Value sections so I couldn't check a rate.
