My kids will be 13, 11 & 11 when we go for Thanksgiving. They are not really "into" glow necklaces, but I know we'll get there and one will want one and then they will ALL want one.

So how many is enough to bring? I was thinking 50? Even if I give them each one a night that is 21...that leaves 29 to share with others. To many...to little?

I bought 50 22" necklaces for dd 10 and dd 5. Figure we'll have more than enough and some to give out to spread a little pixiedust:

Thanks. I've seen posts where people are bringing 100-200 and I was wondering if I had to bring THAT many. I think 50 will do it!

Don't forget them for mom and dad too! We always join in the fun and wear them with DD. DH has put bracelets around his ankles, joined them and made a 'crown/halo', etc. I can't tell you how many times other parents have asked where we got them. They always look a little 'down' when we tell them we brought them from home. They must be Disney Newbies!

Got a package of 50 bracelets from "FIVE BELOW" for $5. Figure I can give some away each night to other "Disney newbies"!!!

I think it's a great idea to take them with us and save some $$, but I have no idea where to buy them. Where can I buy these necklaces??

I've heard that Wal-Mart & Target have them out because of Halloween. If not, I'll probably order on line.

Cheapest are probably at the Dollar stores (we also have Five Below's where everything is less than $5---they had lots of $1 packages.)

I am ashamed to tell how many of these we bought to carry on our next trip, but they can come in useful if you want to let everyone know that a DISSER is staying at the resort. We tagged HHI this past Sept.

michaels has the 15 bracelets in a tube for a buck

Thanks for reminding me to pack ours for MNSSHP tomorrow night. Last year after Halloween (actually Halloween weekend) I got 100 from Crafts and Such for 70%. We used them for our Halloween party and still have some left! I forgot to take them to the 9/22 party!

I just bought some at the dollar store yesterday. I got necklaces and bracelets.

When do the kids usually wear these? Is it usually just at MK at night or the other parks as well?

I bought mine off of ebay for 21 bucks for the 50 necklaces...have no idea if that's good or not but we used some and they glowed for more than 24 hours!!

That's what I buy at Dollar Tree. 15 bracelets hook together to make 5 necklaces.

I looked tonight when I was at Walmart and they had packages of 3 necklaces for $.92, I picked up one of each color (pink, orange, blue and green). I'll keep looking and see what else I find.

For those that posted where to find them....thanks!

Thoses are awesome...where did you get them???

DizneyNutz - that is fabulous :)

tiggger1 - thanks for the tip about Michael's having them!

That was where we first spotted them. Did a Google search for glow bracelets and walaa. Lots of places to buy them. We bought bulk and got them for about .05 cents each I believe. We decided the Mickey head would be fun to hang out there that night, so we made one using bracelets. It took two for each ear and I think I used either four or five for the head then florist wire to wire it together. That was our first attempt, now I think I will use the small zip ties to hold it together, because the florist wire was not very firm. We are carrying a bunch with us on our next trip and any little children seeming to fancy one, will be given their very own glow bracelet. .05 cents is a small price for us to help make a childs trip a little more special :thumbsup2
Of course I went out and removed it early the next morning. DW thought we might get charged for littering. Who in the world would litter MICKEY HEADS :confused3
