What exactly is there to do at Disney Quest? What is the cost and do you think it's worth the $$ ? :confused3

There is so much to do at disney quest. It is a great place to spend an off day or to spend a night not at the parks. There are several levels of interactive games. One level is regular "arcade" games... One is a a sort of bupper car game where you bump into them and shoot "rockets" (balls).. Also there are games where you compete against other people... I think it is called "mighty ducks" where 10 or 12 people all compete against each other in a sorta of pinball thing on a HUGE screen (not really sure about it)... There is also the Cheesecake factory... Oh yeah and a computer program where you can "build" your own rollercoaster and then ride it in a simulator....

Prices: Can be added on to your MYW.... GREAT DEALS!
and i believe you can pay at the door but it is a horrible deal...

PS... it is a great thing to do while you are waiting to be seated at any DTD restaurant

I love DisneyQuest! I looked it up, & it's $28 - $34/person, but if I remember right that's for the entire day. It has five floors filled w/ful stuff to do, & all of it's free. The only thing that you have to pay for is if you wanna get some food. If I remember correctly, the 4th floor has this big room w/all computers, so if you wanna check your e-mail you can do that. You can even build your own roller coaster & ride it in a simulator. It's great fun & I highly reccomend it! ::MickeyMo

As people have already said, Disney Quest is a huge video arcade and virtual reality play land. Some of the things you can do:

- Take a ride in an elevator with the Genie from Alladin
- Play endless arcade games for one admission price
- Fly a virtual reality flying carpet in agrabah to get gems
- Raft down a virtual white water rapid
- Pilot your own starship to rescue survivors in extraterrorestrial encounter
- Man the guns of your own pirate ship with 4 or more of your friends in the virtual reality Pirates of the Carribbean
- Ride the Buzzlightyear bumper cars which shoot rubber balls at your opponent
- Design AND Ride your own rollercoaster
- Learn how to draw famous disney characters
- Design AND buy your own toy
- Have a meal at the Cheesecake Factory

Basically it is a blast. I typically try and go at least one night out of the trip. Located in Downtown Disney, it is a must for kids of all ages.

I can't help you with the cost, but my family really enjoyed Disney Quest. DS(6), DS (8), & DD (10) all loved playing the games & making their own rollercoster & riding it. We played Pirates of the Carribean all together (DH was the captain) & that was the best....It feels like you are an actual ship & you have to shot cannons at the others ships & sink them to recieve the treasure. I had never seen the kids work so well together (& not fight :love2:). Another really fun experience is the Buzz lightyear blast, pitchure enclosed bumper cars loaded w/ cannons to launch soft balls. You have a driver & a cannon loader & you earn points for direct hits & spin out of control when you are hit...oh, it's a blast.

The only thing we are going to differently this trip is go on our day off from the parks. The kids (& parents) were so tired last trip while at DQ. We went after the parks & we were good for about an 1 or 2 & then wanted to leave even though there were more things we wanted to do. They do have the cheesecake factory inside DQ, so we are planning sleeping in, hitting DQ (eating lunch while there) & then WWof D for some shopping. We have friends who went with 2 teenagers & they spent one night at DQ & then the teens wanted to spend their last day at DQ, the 2 teens ended up staying there 8 hours!!! :earseek: :confused3

My favorite thing is Pirates of the Carribean, you are on a ship with cannons, and have screens all around you. One person steers the ship while others fire the cannons at other ships to earn treasure. It is awesome!! Also, look online for discount disney tickets, and you can get a one day ticket for something like $25. I think whatever the price is, it is about $10 less then the at the gate price. I have done this a couple of times and never have had any problems.

Do you have to go into Pleasure Island to get there? If you do, is there a charge to get into Pleasure Island?

No, not at all. DisneyQuest is on the West Side of DTD. Pleasure Island is on the other side. When you walk in, you will have Cirque Du Soleil one onside, and DisneyQuest on the other side. You will see it from the street.

We're going in July. Do you think it would be more crowded on the weekends or during the week? Also, is it less crowded during the day, or due evenings tend to be less crowded? Thanks!

It opens at 11, and I think during the week it would be less crowded. Try going early (11 really isn't that early). You want to knock out attractions like POTC and Cyber Mountain. Another good one is Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride (just a hint, before you take off on Magic Carpet Ride, look to your left and right, it is really neat!).
