?? about disney dollars ??

Hi i just have a few questions about disney dollars.
1) do they ever expire( i got some from sunshine rewards and they say 2005 on them)
2) can they be used in any disney restaurant or store in disney world
3) do the disney gift cards ever expire and can they be used the same way as the dollars?

There is no expiration date on mine. I don't think the disney dollars expire.

As for the giftcards, I don't have a clue.

I believe you can use disney dollars at all of the locations in Disney World.

If I want to give each of our kids some money to spend at WDW, on snacks, drinks, etc., do you recommend Disney dollars or gift cards? Do the cart vendors take gift cards or just disney dollars? Thanks

For kids, I say go with the Disney dollars. It feels more like money. It also gives a visual on how much they can spend and how much they have for the next item.

I do not know about gift cards at the cart vendors. We have never used them and that was not available when I worked there.

I know that I've read at disneyLAND, the outside vendors at carts canNOT take gift cards (or any cards), but take D. Dollars.

I think the year on the dollar is simply when it was made...from an FAQ site I've seen, there have been different designs, different characters, on them, depending on the year.

The only downside to the Dollars is that if you lose them, they are gone forever.
