I just saw a couple posts about the bunkbeds at HIFS being only about 5 feet long. This would be a problem for us since our DS is already about 5'6''. I called HIFS to verify and they told me they thought he would be fine on the bunkbeds but now I'm worried. We really wanted the King kidsuite instead of the Queen because my DH and I have a king bed at home and we often end up with our 1yo DD in bed with us. I'm not sure we would be very comfy in a queen bed, especially since DH and I are both large people.

Can anyone verify the bunkbed size for me? If they are too small for DS, how comfy is the sofa bed? Thanks in advance.:)

Cannot comment on the sofa bed as we didn’t use it my DS is also 5’6 and he had no problems on the bunk beds in December. As a matter of fact I wanted to switch to the queen size kidsuite for our upcoming October trip and my DS begged me to keep the bunk beds. ::yes::

Hi I used the sofa bed in 2001 for a week and found it pretty comfy .. ( altho i am only 5feet 1inch tall )

Stayed at HIFS last August with in laws and 2 kids it 1 suite. My wife and I slept on the sofa bed all week and it was fine and very cozy (if you get my point since we are used to a king at home.) IN laws took the king in the bedroom. Kids used the bunks, I laid down on them and at 6'1 my head and feet both touched the ends. I think they'll be fine for your familly.....TAZ

Thanks to you all for the feedback. I feel much better now. Sounds like he would be comfy on the bunks or the sofa bed. Our main reason for going offsite this trip was to be sure that we would all have a comfortable place to sleep so I needed to be sure we would get that with the King kidsuite - especially since it is actually costing more than the onsite room we had originally booked. Thanks again.:)

I laid on the bottom bunk with my DD one night, and I dont recall it being too short. Im 5'9".
