? about Budget

I usually use Alamo for reservations, but I was checking Budget to compare, and noticed that they don't take off their coupons or codes when reserving online. How do you guestimate the final cost for car rental comparisons? I have a 20% off + $30 off coupon (costco). Also, if I use the Costco discount, do I just provide my costco membership card when I get there, or do I print out the costco deal from the website?

I'm not totally sure I understand your question, but I've rented from Budget before and always been able to put in coupons or codes online to check out the rates. I usually get code information from Mousesavers and try various combinations to see what the price differential is. You don't see the final price with all the taxes and fees included until you actually choose a vehicle and go through the motions of making a reservation - just cancel out before the final confirmation. I can't answer your questions about the Costco membership card, but I've rented from five different companies and used various codes that are supposed to be for members of various things (which I generally am a member of), and I've never been asked to show proof of that at the rental counter. Which isn't to say that it couldn't happen. Just hasn't ever happened to me.
