I am hoping to book a cruise in May. Crossing my fingers for a VGT rate! We do not have passports and I checking all of our birth certificates and they are all certifited. But I was looking at my marriage license and it has my step fathers name on it and my birth certificate has my real fathers name on it. Is this going to be a problem?

Also when booking do you need the legal names listed on the birth certificate? Including middle names? I know if you book a VGT rate is has to be correct cause you cannot change it.

You shouldn't need the marriage license, so I wouldn't worry about your step-father's name.

Names used for booking should match the IDENTIFICATION you'll be using - drivers' license or passport. For children, yes you should probably use the full name on the birth certificate (i.e., James not Jim, Margaret not Peggy, etc.).

    Enjoy your cruise!

lanejudy is perfectly correct, you most likely will never need it. However we always bring every document we ever think we may need including a Marriage license.

Its only a piece of paper to carry and standing at the counter checking in or getting off the ship is not the time to not have something that could make a problem go away.:thumbsup2
