? about AP discount on rooms

We were thinking about getting annual passes for our next trip. I called Disney Travel to see if I could find out what the AP discount would be for rooms at the Poly the last week of November this year. And, she could tell me....said that those rates wouldn't be released untill September or October.

Anyway.....does anybody know about how much AP discounts usually are on room rates???

It depends, there really is no easy answer because the last 2 years they have been different.

Typically it has run about $75 off deluxes. Sometimes a bit more during higher priced season times.

We have usually used between 30-40% as a figure when estimating what the AP rate will be. They tend to release the AP rates in three month blocks, just fyi. You could look at getting one AP for your family if you are getting it primarily for the room discounts.

Remember, also when/if the AP discounts are released, often not ALL resorts and catagories are available. You must be flexible to move to whatever resort is offering the discount. If you have your heart set on the Poly, the exact room catagory may not be discounted. In order to get the discounts you may have to change the catagory of your room, and in most cases, you may have to change the resort entirely and sometimes you may have to be flexible with your dates. Just because a person may be holding a full price room reservation at a resort, does not guarantee that there will be a discount on that reservation. (Meaning they can not just apply it to your reservation, there must be availability for the exact criteria and then it can be applied.)
