There are about 12 (including kiddies) of us planning a trip during the free dining in August and are hoping to eat most sit down meals together. How difficult is it to get ADR's for a large group and for booking such a large party, do you need to leave a deposit or a credit card #? Any info would be appreciated.

It can be difficult to get large seatings together. When I travel with a large group, we tend to book 3 tables of 4 or 2 tables of 6. We then ask to be put near each other. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

Good Luck!

Get in touch with Grand Gatherings; I did (party of 10) and they made all our ADR's for us. We almost always had one table, and if it was two they were right together.

We have 10 in our group and I made all my own ressies with no problems. I found that they usually on could guarantee 1 table when I booked at the start of dinner....but even when they say two tables, you will usually be able to have them pushed together. They didn't once not have us together last year even when we had two tables booked. If you are doing a Grand Gathering you could call them like the other poster suggested. Maybe they have more pull for guaranteeing 1 table.

You should make your ADRs as soon as possible so that they can accomodate you at whatever time you want. We actually had ressies for 5 that had to be raised to 13 on literally less than 1 day's notice. We just had to make a later dinner time.

Generally you are best off with reservations either first thing or last (withing 1/2 hour of opening or closing). That tends to be the best chance to sit at one large table, or at least at tables next to each other.

We went with 13 during Christmas week and had no problems getting 1 table or 2 tables next to each other (and that was 1-2 ADRs per day). I would call on the first day that you can make your reservations.
