ABCs of Trip Reporting, Pt. 2-Life Can Be Crappy and Then You Move On (3/7)

Oh NO, I'm sorry you had such a dreadfull start to your day. But I'll bet you end up having a great one! At least I hope so!

I can remember getting separated from my parents when I was a child at 6 Flags, and it was the worst feeling ever. I don't care how old you get it's still scary and frustrating.

Terri

Jordy!!!:woohoo:

AND GB!!

Oh, gosh...that lost feeling is the worst and something I still remember distinctly from childhood.

Being lost IS one of the worst feelings.......that is until you see the person your lost from (my grandmother) drive off without you from the grocery that you had just been shopping in. :scared1:
Yup, I was probably about 7 or 8 and thought I was going to lose my mind!! Remember how Sully looked when he thought Boo was being flattened, chomped and put into a square....yup, that was pretty much me seeing my grandmother see the last of her groceries into the car, get into her car, and drive away. :faint:
Needless to say it didn't take her long to realize I wasn't with her and she came back to get me. She said I had been too quiet that day! Trust me, I never made that mistake again!! I've been a talker ever since! :rotfl: You can't shut me up!! Just ask Liesa. ;)

:rotfl2: I can't believe Glenn spotted your mom and auntie Cherie in the picture!! Now that's classic! :lmao: I'm sorry you felt lost and afraid though, that always stinks.

Oh, looks like you had a nice end to that first day. La Nouba sounds so cool! I would totally see it, but I think it's just too much to do when you're already paying an arm and a leg just to be in the area. But maybe someday :thumbsup2 And I definitely got to remember to really look up all the Cirque shows before going since they confuse me so much with their abstract storylines, but are amazing either way :goodvibes

That's so cool you got to watch EWP AND Wishes at the same time! I've only seen Wishes, not EWP, but it must've looked so cool especially with just Wishes music piping in. I would've preferred that to whatever EWP music is, since so far, nothing has compared to the soundtrack for Wishes

Oh, the pillows are adorable! That was such a nice thing for Mary to give to you guys and a cool way to get character autographs. They must look great now covered in the varying scrawls of different Disney characters (:

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Oh, another DLR update! Must read...

Oh wow, it definitely didn't seem like a bad morning for you. The food in the Disney bakeries look delicious as always YUM! :goodvibes And that's so cool they have a live ragtime band at the Main Street in DLR, I cannot wait to see that when I go :thumbsup2

Oh wow, that definitely must've been a very panicked moment. Losing a group is no way fun, because there usually is some important reason they should be there with you. But good thing you found them and then were let back in the park to enjoy ragtime with them. Very fun (:

Sorry to hear you didn't get to go to DCA on this day, though I've heard in most ways DL just has more to do and is a ton better. Hopefully next time you'll get to DCA ::yes:: And I love that Disneyland sign, not having seen the original, classic version, but it still looks great. Definitely taking a picture of that when I'm in SoCal :)

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Catching up on the last 10 pages!

We were rather quiet as we headed back up Main Street headed toward the Anabella for the night; what more could be added to the magical feeling we all shared. Something had transcended words; for a few moments all was right in our world.

 Ahhhhh....perfect.

well...

The indictment did come overnight...

Here is a link to one of over a hundred articles about this. I found out this evening.

It has been a very difficult night...as the lady that helped me put together the numbers and present them to the Federal Govt was also indicted - facing up to 125 years in prison. This was a shock to me.

She is one of us - the good guys. Three kids. One of those parents that go watch their kids games and track meets. At the wrong place at the wrong time and trying to do the right thing...
just a terrible night for us here.

Link is from an Arkansas news website. Hoping this never ends up on CNN.

Oh my goodness Mary!!! How stressful and frightening. Good job on standing up for what is RIGHT. What a horrible thing. I hope the innocent woman has been cleared by now.

It is then that we realize that we in our haste to save money, we had not gotten PH tix and were stuck with going back to Disneyland yet again today. Worse yet, we had told Dorothy to buy a PH, that was now useless. I know they would likely have traded it, but by now she (and all of us) was just itching to get on with our day and into the park. Any park! Now don’t get me wrong, being in ANY Disney park is not a bad thing, so we made the very most of that day we got together. Stay tuned for the rest of DAY 2’s adventures!!

:headache: This has been one rough morning - I hope the rest of the day goes smoother--despite it being in Disneyland again!

Though, it's pretty hilarious that Glenn saw your family taking off in the pictures you posted! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Liesa, what a crazy start to your day! I was thinking about how panicked you were, and there are your aunt and mom, sitting and swinging their legs, listening to the music, eating pastries without a care in the world! :rotfl2: Sorry it was so stressful. I hope you were able to put it behind you and remember "there's a great big beautiful tomorrow..." :goodvibes

I don't know how much I'll be able to keep up after this - I am starting a part time medical coding job on Tuesday,
This week I start at 6am  I get my best sleep from 4am to 7am. I have 15 yrs of experience, so once I learn their system, I should be able to do the hours I asked for - 10 am to 3pm. A friend called and asked if I would think about helping them out and let me choose my hours and pay, so it is a nice blessing until we move next year.

Just poppin' in before I am off tomorrow to Cedar Point on another of my Free Trips !!!!!

Hope you're having a splendid time, Rosie!

Finally got up!! All I got to say is love the updates. Really thought I'd get a break with the kids going to school but it just seems like I'm busier than ever. Oh well I'll figure it out sometime.

Why thanks! I wish I had more time to devote to this, but sadly, it's a busy season in my life.... I'll do my best to at least keep caught up with replies though :) And yes, you'll figure it out... just may take some time- and even just a little bit, we are ALL here!

You can go up to the bar inside and they will give you a to-go drink but not to-go food. ;)

The pool bar may be a seasonal thing ad since it was after Labor day they close early. :confused3

That's what I did. A Mai Tai in a plastic cup- still tasted great and did the trick ;)

Yeah, you may be right- I had forgotten we had the post-Labor Day shortening of hours...

All caught up. Still loving this. Love the Poly. :lovestruc

So glad you're hanging with me, Kim!!! The Poly IS wonderful in every way!!! :cloud9:

Hi! I got sidetracked by some family stuff and then my computer crashed - nice guy at the base fixed it - anyway, nice to see you are not way ahead of me!

UH! NOT the computer crash!! I'm so sorry, Tammie!

Yeah, this report is taking the slow road these days.... I had forgotten how much reading classes take, and being a Type A perfectionist, I feel compelled to do EVERY extra credit assignment and read WAY ahead.... sigh.

My Friends~

Another week, another busy schedule! I'm sitting at school, starving because I didn't have time for breakfast.... I have 2 kids at home alone sick with something BAD in the throat and another here at school toughing it out sick. I feel guilty and am second guessing my choice to be out of the home. UGH!! It doesn't feel good.

Anyway, I have to go buy a parking permit and make some copies instead of relishing all of your TRs in my break between classes. So on top of being tired and hungry, I am feeling pretty guilty that I am SLACKI NG in a massive way on your reports. Mark, Pat, Cynthia, and all the rest of you (Mary Ellen I did get your PM) PLEASE forgive me! I WILL get there eventually and drink in every word! I promise!

Meantime, I hope to get to replies from pp. 192 and 193 from here later today :)

Liesa

Hey Jordan! I saw you popping up several places. It's great to see you!

Kinda working my way back on the DIS w/o making it something that interferes with what God is trying to do while I'm here in KY......but I had to check in with the Peeps to see what y'all were doing..:)

Jordan great to see you  You've been missed. What ever gods will is, is what matters I understand. Welcome back......:upsidedow

all caught up for now.

So sorry to hear of your way too busy morning. I hate when the easy things like getting breakfast and meeting family members turn into a journey.

I was just getting settled in New Orleans and realized I lost my Mug from Disney :headache: Must have lefft it somewhere on my way to the ME bus.
Double poop. :headache:

Oh - that is SO something that would happen to me! I swear I have park ADHD and I can easily get turned around and confused and then I misplace something really important or screw up something important. Oh well - I really hope you made the most of your day. I'm sure you did! :thumbsup2

Oh - your poor thing. Going to school and being a mom often don't mix too well. I do not envy you at all! You'll get around to reading when you have a chance. Hope the kids are feeling better! :goodvibes

When a parent goes back to school, it's a "whole family" commitment. I did it a few years ago and Judy felt like a single parent at times. But, one day at a time, and you'll (all) get through it. We look forward to seeing you on here when you have some spare time, but you have many other priorities, which I know you'll keep straight. :goodvibes

Don't worry, Liesa. I know the feeling. "Stuff" happens, and you have priorities. No guilt here. I hope you can relax soon! :goodvibes

Hey there Liesa :goodvibes,

I've been incredibly behind of late but I'm trying to remedy that! So glad to hear that classes are off to a good start! I looooove history, love love love it! We're doing Ancient Greek history right now for homeschooling. Ok, your psych instructor sounds quite sophisticated! Not! Ugh, there are so many other words that can impart a similar meaning than actually having to use the f bomb, right? People, broaden your vocabulary! In college, I had this weirdo of a psych teacher too, really weird. He spent a good deal of his time talking about his wife's childbirthing experience. Um, ya, I don't need to know how dilated her cervix was or when she lost her mucus plug dude! So bizarre. At least I passed the class!

Well, HI to you too! WOW!! Been a while!

My psych instru. is blow hard who is cramming her liberal agenda fist over fist down our throats with every opportunity she has. It's sickening. The ethical thing to do is teach relevant material in a non-biased way. Period. I really should file a formal complaint, but will hold off to see what unfolds. UGH!

Next week is conception-birth, complete with a birth video. I really feel sorry for the 18 year guys in there! I really, really do!

History on the other hand is interesting, but I'm pretty tired of covering Sumererian culture AGAIN. Seriously, I"ve had this multiple times: a full year in HS, and at least 2 courses in college. Man, I wished I had gotten an A the first time around and I'd be $400 richer today. (the cost of this course).

Anyway, it's not hard... so far.

Love all of the updates Liesa, you certainly have a knack for writing. And the whole "pee before Pooh" makes me chuckle everytime! I suppose that shows my obvious lack of refinement! I'm so glad your DL trip went well, it must have been bittersweet yet filled with so many nostalgic memories for all of you.

WEll, it certainly takes one to know one. :rolleyes1

The trip was so wonderful, and although likely my last memories with my aunt, I"m so glad I went!

For the record, that night at the Poly were you a tad inebriated?? I'm just asking because it appears you went swimming in your clothes.;)

Only a tad (no really, honest to Goodness); just enough to make me giggly, but hey, we were all that and more without any booze.

I love my suit!! I have WAY too much "remnant" from childbearing to show ANYTHING mid-drift anymore!!! As for arm flab.... we don't go there.

Liesa, how wonderful that your start back at school was mainly good! I think you have encountered stranger human behaviour in Kazakhstan, so I am certain that you will survive odd teachers as well!! :thumbsup2:goodvibes

So true, so true!! I am enjoying being in the academic environment again for sure, even if the topics discussed have VERY little to do with the text material. :sad2:

Looking forward to the Update !!!!Can you believe I will be in Disney in 2 weeks !!!:banana::banana:

Yes, I CAN believe it!! You lucky duck!
