We'll have to talk, I would love to get your sources so I can bone up on the information about the parks. I know you read some books I need to get my hands on, I meant to read them while I was there.Oh well. It's really all about the theming for me.
I wouldn't survive without coffee.
This summer is a must do...perhaps at our cabin on the river...some great hiking nearby....
I raced thru, but i am caught back up....![]()
Definitely Rambunctious!!!Just for the record....I was on my best behavior with every TSA agent I dealt with while going through the lines, I promise. The one's I heckled were very young and looked like they could take it.![]()
First, Liesa, I would like to thank you for shavingi your arm pits. I know it is truly appreciated, and it saves a lot of embarrassing comments by Marv.
I love your AK photos and I think you are doing just fine with the camera you have. And your pics with the characters are terrific.
Camille, a great start to your DIS meet and I can't wait to read more and see the pics.![]()
Definitely Rambunctious!!!![]()
Centuries ago, Ananta, the Rajah of the land, founded this area.
He was well-loved by his people and, in fact you can even see his sarcophagus in a special place on the trails nearby.
He, and those he invited to his private hunting lodge, decimated the populations of the magnificent beasts, only to one day, himself, become the hunted by the very species he exterminated.
Another Rajah took his place, but he was given over to the lusts of the material world.
But not all rulers leave wanton destruction behind them.
Near the Ancient Grand Ballroom, now a spectacular sanctuary for avian, one can see a bas relief mural that shows what can happen if man does not heed the natural order of symbiosis with the natural world.
Wow the narrative was spot on!(narative?)
the storytelling was first class!
Great pictures.

Wow, is that the whole story behind the ruins? I figured there must be some story to it since it's Disney, but never heard it before. You told it beautifully!
Oh, and I counted 4 Hidden Mickeys. One was featured it 2 consecutive pictures. Given my screen name, I probably missed some others.![]()
Nice update! Scared me at first when it started with "D" and I was wondering how I missed the "C" update???Then I realized this wasn't a "letter" Chapter update! Afraid I might have missed a chance to earn some contest points........
Quick run through the pictures and I spotted 5 HMs, not counting the first one that showed up twice more in the zoomed out pictures. Will look some more later when I have more time and see if any more pop out at me!!!![]()
Great Narrative Liessa and beautiful pix !!
Liesa, you put ALL of us to shame with your storytelling. What a great job on the update...I loved it.
I agree with Kathy!
You really ought to consider writing as a career. Yes, I know, you are starting a nursing program - but you are so talented!!!
Camille, I love the start to the DISmeet story - can't wait to read more!
What a great day so far in AK! THANK YOU for shaving your pits! Glad you took a few minutes to see some old friends, plus with no lines... SCORE!
Love those hidden Mickey's! I don't think I've seen those before!
I will agree with some others when I saw I love your story telling.I never knew the story behind Anandapur.
I will get my guess in for B
Loved the storytelling Liesa!
Oh, why couldn't his name have been "Roger"? Roger Rajah.
Ooo, where is that? Is it in one of your pictures?
I didn't get a picture, becuase while I was there, I had forgotten that part of the story. But go to Jack Spence's blog on Allears, and he has a great picture of it. Just do a search for Animal Kingdom posts.
He got his just desserts. Or became them, or something like that.
I'm sure there was at least one happy tiger that day. And speaking of desserts, my review of Y&Y is coming up soon...
Maybe this one was Roger?
All I can think of when I see that is "Roger Rabbit", which doesn't work here at ALL.
Mmmmm, won tons.
And speaking of wontons, my review for Y&Y is coming up soon...
