ABCs of Trip Reporting, Pt. 2-Life Can Be Crappy and Then You Move On (3/7)

I knew you meant me :lmao:cuz I did rave about it !!I am going again in August with the family and hoping they have the brisket then !!! The coleslaw and beans were okay but the meat was sooooooo good when I had it !!That was alot of meat and I ate every dang bit of it :lmao:
As for my guess not understanding "3rd time ":confused3:rotfl2:Ya know I scoured each park map looking for an answer and then I remembered !!!!!:rolleyes1

I was talking about your 3 posts in a row. Totally something I'd do!! (And have)

Good to know you're an astute researcher though. The boys would be proud- given their Basement Research Centers (BRCs) and all.

Well, I'm all caught up again! :goodvibes Great review of Yak and Yeti. We have an ADR here in July for dinner and it isn't a restaurant I've read a lot about here on the Dis. But your meal looked great.

We also want to do Rafiki's Planet Watch, but I got overruled on this past trip. :rotfl:

And, finally, great pictures throughout!

First let me get my G guess out of the way- Grand Floridian and Grand Floridian Cafe.

The dresses are lovely! I wish I had the aptitude for sewing. My mom tried to teach me several times and I just don't get it. :confused3 My older sister is a natural. She can sew, quilt and smock.

Please share pictures of the ball after y'all go.

I know what it's like to plan parties for two. Michelle and Danielle are 9 years and 2 days apart. Last year was the first time we did just one party. This year we'll have to separate again. Michelle will be turning 21.:scared1:

HI Tina! I thought I'd lost you! :goodvibes

I think a lot of this restaurant's appeal has to do with individual taste, really. I'll bet that dessert would be great for someone who enjoys rich sweet stuff. THen again, for someone who doesn't care for the more exotic flavors of fish sauce, cilantro, ginger and lime, I doubt Y&Y would appeal to them. I'd say if you're used to going out to Thai, or other Asian, you'll likely find it great.

Sure you don't want to put a guess in? We've got a fresh start to the game!

Funny how with more than one in a party, everyone gets overruled on something they want to do.

Got that guess!

I am such an amateur sew-er (I almost wrote sewer, but we all know where THOSE mess ups in typing lead, don't we? :lmao:), and am always learning and RE-learning stuff. I"ll probably post in FB first; I"m sure the pix will end up here too.

We generally don't make a big deal of birthdays- just cake and a couple of gifts with the family, but this year it seems different with 18 and 16. My oldest is turning 21 this January, and I kinda want to make that a big deal too. We'll see. But ugh! can parties be a lot of work! I'm glad I"m doubling this one up!

Nope...still here! Just been very tried this week. The first week back to teaching after being off is always a bit tough. :rotfl:

We love Asian food of all types, so I'm sure we'll love it. That's an important point, though...not everyone likes those flavors.

I'm caught up and getting tired... zzzzzzzz... I was 'only' 8 pages behind. :woohoo:

Loved the rest of your day at AK... Rafiki's PW is pretty boring... glad you made the best of it.

Did you think of turning around and heading back to AK when you saw the 'yard sale' at POP?

Here is my answer to G--- Grand Floridian & the Garden View Lounge

I was wondering if you'd have to bow out for Part 2- Glad you made it soundly in the winner's circle with Pt. 1!

YAY! for an opportunity to meet! Getting excited!

Sucking up only works on Marv's thread- WHERE is he by the way?
i will play until i leave....im just hoping that my trip doesnt overlap two rounds so i have a shot at another one.

us tooo, less than two weeks.

marv is pretty busy right now, the project he is working on is BIG...but i talked to him last night and he is doing well.

YEP! A perfect time for anyone who didn't get in on Part 1 to join in!! I hope we have a LOT more players this time around- seems to be an easy enough game to do well at to me. ;) Just gotta play!

I actually HAVE a serger than my MIL left, but have no clue how to use it. I need to go to a sewing shop and have a lesson or two.

I need to take mine to a sewing shop too or at least to someone who has a clue.

I will have to go back and read but we loved Yak and Yeti if anyone needs a review/endorsement. We had dinner there for the first time in January.

Ugh, you're right! Gotta get those ideas and that motivation worked up a again. Hope next week is better for you!

I really hope you do! Hey, anything better than the Maya Grill for you would be excellent! :rotfl:

Here is my answer to G---

8 pages isn't bad at all! SEems like you've been gone for longer though- we missed you!

I'd say, if you don't have smaller kids, it might be, but then again... if you like characters without lines, that's the place to go. We saw several. Also, that whole surgery/vet center place is uber cool, as you shall see...

The thought had crossed my mind. IN hind sight, I should have left a friendly reminder note for the owners of the "yard sale" to pick their crap up.

my G guess

KIM

Got it, Kim! I think you'll be in the winner's circle this time! :thumbsup2

I doubt it will. I have WAY less time these days to get these updates up, so I think you'll be good.

Poor guy! Just not the same without him around. HOpe he's holding up under the pressure and can be done with it soon.

Most sewing shops won't charge you for a quick lesson on threading and simple technique- I'd give it a try! I know you DO sew stuff.

You could do one RIGHT HERE if you'd like!! I"m sure others would love to read it!

Hey, Cap't O~

Just wanted to let you know, I just spend 1/2 hour reading your cruise report! Just wanted to say you, seriously, are one FABULOUS writer; I enjoyed EVERY bit of it!!

Had to laugh at Mickey D's being Plan B! Shocked really that Earl wasn't#2!

Never heard of Bonine, but will look that up- my mom gets sick, but cruises a lot- I'll mention it.

I thought Disney was big on the hip-hip-hooray send off; yours sounded rather dull.:confused3

WOW! THe ship IS gorgeous!! What can I say?

OH yeah... coffee addiction/snobbery? Me too. Mine took having Dutch teammates for our first 4 years in Crapistan. It was just "what you do". Never looked back. Nescafe was aptly described by you--- "a slight step above Pennzoil".

Anyway, great report!! THanks for writing!

Since you are starting a new round I can join in on this one. My guess for G is Grand Floridian and Gasparilla Grill and Games.

Yes, he is, I am a great fan of his work! You should check out his other non-disney TR on the DISdads website as well. Makes you want to go on a vacation immediately. :goodvibes

Liesa, I owe you still a guess on letter G: Grand Floridian and Garden View Tea Room

I am very excited that I managed to be as good as my sister in the last round and that we will both receive a prize!! I think you have my address already? :rolleyes1

Caught the update - great photos...until the bitter end. Talk about an unwelcome welcome...if such thing exists.

Hope your PC is back. OH that reminds me... I have to go and reply to that other thing.

Doesn't matter now.... Mike came home with a new power cord, and I'm ready to roll! Tallying scores now...

Ummmm.... there's ONE person, who WOULD have a perfect score IF they get their guess in by tonight!!! I won't mention names, but pools and poo come to mind....

I just got this but I thought I answered everything !!!! :scared1:

Still catching up - Very busy and crazy week. :sad2:

I do need to, you're right! Took me way to long to get to that one.

OK, got that G guess. YOu and sis were on par this time. Prizes will be on the way soon- still need Katharina's addie, and yes, you're right, I still have yours. It's one of the few I've managed to save over the years. (I can't believe I just typed that- YEARS!!?? REally, I"ve been doing this for YEARS?)

Hey! GB is back!! It was MOST unwelcome! Too gross!

The e-mail says it's on its way, but not here yet. All I can say, is that 5,7,9, dash, and bracket darned well better work, as well as my Windows!!

Got your PM. Small world, eh?

I just got this but I thought I answered everything !!!! :scared1:

Still catching up - Very busy and crazy week. :sad2:

I almost sent you a PM, but figured if you weren't here, you wouldn't be there either. :confused3 I held off as long I my antsy personality would allow me, then had to move on. BUT, look at it this way... 3 more chances to snag a win! Now, where is G?

And

What is one associated word (place, adjective, character? restaurant? Free choice this time) that can be found nearby? (Nearby means like within a 2 minute walk or so.)

Just white out those answers here in the thread this time to get us going.

Good luck, and have a Magical DAY!!

G is Grand Floridian and Gasparilla Grill and Games

i really thought I did do F - Hmmmmm

Good to hear you are Ok.

At Work poop is almost a daily topic for me too.

Liesa- RPW is a nice way to cool off a bit and relax. I think the info on the stalls is the same since i have only seen the one sign but i will check the next time I am over that way.

RPW is interesting is you go in the morning to see if there are any interesting procedures going on.

Did this on 4-28 but since answers were to be PM maybe it did not go through?? Found it and resent it.:rolleyes1 My sanity is intact, which right now may be all I have to hold on to after the week I had. :rotfl2:

:woohoo:
:banana::banana:
