Liesa, this is so interesting. I've only been to AK once when it first opened, I can't wait to explore it on my october trip. I was really inspired by Magdelena's TR to take the Wild By Design tour at AK. I know how you feel, I'm a sucker for the theming at Disney too.

You are going to love it!! Jack's blog has so much great stuff there, you can spend HOURS learning all kinds of amazing things!!! While you're on hold at work is a perfect time to learn all about the parks and resorts!

That stuff is like sandpaper!! I mean, you have to have standards about certain things right? I don't care if I'm broke, living in a cardboard box, I will shell out the extra buck for 2-ply.

But hey with a down economy I guess Disney has to cut back somewhere.

I'd rather deal with no soap in the dispensers. At least we can bring a little tube of hand sanitizer.

One of these love affairs revolves around the creative, highly imaginative theming found in all the parks. There is a reason those responsible for fostering my piqued interest went to great lengths to include subtle background music in the parks, transitioning pavements, thematic color palettes and a storyline to hold it all together.

Could not agree more. This is what I love about Disney, too.

Did you know that this one- The Island Mercantile- is completely, yet subtly devoted to animals that work? Every nook and cranny is filled with beaver, elephants, camels, bees, ants and other creatures who are known to “work”. Fascinating isn’t it? Who knew?!

I had no clue, but that is very cool!

I am a spoiled rotten brat in this department; I freely admit it.

You're too hard on yourself. I can only imagine that living in a place called "Crapistan" would make this a valuable commodity.

Another secret passion I have, and would love to be able to finance one day, is photography. I think I have a somewhat decent eye, and with a class or two, and several hundred dollars’ worth of better equipment, I might be able to do these a bit more justice:

I think you could do some great work! My wife felt the same way--we were blessed enough that I was able to get her a DSLR for her birthday last year. I haven't seen her since, but the photos she sends back are awesome.

You won’t see many photos of me with any characters, because there are a lot of folks out there (I imagine quite a few of you) who are more than willing to stand in the hot sun to get a picture. I am not, and would happily take your place on EE after standing in the MUCH shorter single rider line at EE.

speaking of TP and 2 ply...when we were at chuckee cheese on saturday with parker, a lady had some one ply sticking out of her pants and it made for a nice little tail that came about about 1 square and down about 5 squares...

Thank you! I'm thinking about writing a TR, I'm so far out at this point I'm not sure I want to start it this early, although.....since I'm taking my mother (hopefully) it could provide for some serious entertainment. The woman drives me a bit crazy at times.

Just for the record....I was on my best behavior with every TSA agent I dealt with while going through the lines, I promise. The one's I heckled were very young and looked like they could take it.

I saw that too, and also hopes she does a PTR! She's a much better writer than she gives herself credit for!

We had to keep some stuff for the report, normally I don't hold out funny stories with my gal pals, but this was too good to give away until the report. Anara is a little fairy! She's my new precious bud!

I have several books that I read over and over while still in "research mode" for the trip. I also use allears and several other blog and Disney sites to collect all this fun stuff!! I must admit, I really enjoyed touring the parks with a better knowledge of things to look for! I have a LONG way to go- I think in a whole lifetime someone really couldn't cover or see it all.

Next update will have its very own HM Hunt!!There will be several in the next chapter.
