ABCs of Trip Reporting, Pt. 2-Life Can Be Crappy and Then You Move On (3/7)

Wow! TSM 6 times! All before 12:30! IMPRESIVE !:worship: And your score is not to shabby either. Much better than I can do.

I know I have been MIA lately, but I did think about you on thursday. I was at the boardwalk with the kiddies and the kid working one of the rides was from Kazakhstan. I imediately thought of you. :)

Hey, HEADS UP!! You're in my next update going up tomorrow!

AHHHHH I am but a day behind so I will get to our meet real soon. But I fear I will have a slightly different version. :rotfl2::rotfl2::confused3

I am trying to get through an update or too to sort of get caught up to this point.

That was a great day.

And yes, if you ride that puppy 6 times your arms are going to just hang at your sides as if you're some kind of Neanderthal Tink.

Mine looked like a cavetink. :rotfl2:

Speaking of whom, I just got a letter from Jordan. :)

Me too!!! Now i just need to find time to write back.

I'm going to remember this for a later comment...

Now wait a second....isn't that Pat the Poolrat next to you :confused3

yes it is  I hung around a bit longer.

In fact here's one- can you watch Wishes from the Poly if you're not staying there?

Absolutely- I do it all the time. :goodvibes

Ok, Ok, I totally KNOW that is you in the front of the ToT ride. You must have hung out with us almost all the way until we left for lunch. Right?? I can't wait to see your version.... ;)

Ok, Ok, I totally KNOW that is you in the front of the ToT ride. You must have hung out with us almost all the way until we left for lunch. Right?? I can't wait to see your version.... ;)

All in good time my lady.

There are a few memorable moments that happened that must be told first. :rotfl2: Travelling witha teenaged boy has some surprises. ;)

It's so great to see you posting on here again Liesa. :goodvibes I love reading your blog entry's, it helps me put things into perspective.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I so admire how strong you and your family are, it takes a lot of faith and guts to do what y'all have done by going over to Crapistan. :worship:

I loooooove hearing about your mom and aunt giggle and laugh about days gone by. It felt like I was there watching it with you. :cloud9: I can't imagine what great memories that must have been for them, I bet it was great therapy for your aunt Cherie. :goodvibes

TSM 6 times! I haven't even been on it once! That's pretty cool! Y'all looked like you were having such a great time, I'm so glad Pat found you all! She's a trip! I bet she made the day even more fun by hanging with y'all.

WOW 6 times on TSMM!!! I think our max is 3 times and we don't have FP at California Adventure!! lol Once in the morning during the mad dash, 2nd early afternoon if the wait isn't too long and then right before park closing we get in line. I think on our next trip I may have to try the 6 times but again no FP so who knows if I'm willing to waste that much time in line. Love hearing your updates and glad to see you guys are still having a great time!!

I am very impressed with your ability to ride TSM 6 times by 12:30 in the morning. Now THAT is super impressive. :worship::worship::worship: I didn't think that was mathmatically possible. Is it????? Apparently so.

I love your pretty pink T-shirts. And all your pictures are so fun. Love the ToT picture - front row - you guys rock.

And that sort-of surreal picture at RnR - very nice!

Great update Leisa!

/
WOW!!! That was one amazing feat! I am super duper impressed and a little jealous! :lmao: Cute t-shirts, too.

Incredible blog posts, Liesa. They give you so much to think about. :goodvibes

Awww thanks! It's good to know a few out there are reading along :)

Liesa, I will check out your blog tonight. Do you prefer comments here or on the blog itself?

Oh and just in case you were wondering: I deleted my facebook account. I wasn't using it and decided I rather want to keep my data more private... :goodvibes So me disappearing from your (or anyone else's) list of friends was not personal at all!

Hi Magdalene! GOSH, I"m so sorry I've been so completely out of touch lately! Actually, I am on here more than I"m on my blog. I sort of post then walk away. So comments may not be seen for several days, although my track record here hasn't been all that stellar either lately :rolleyes1

I never saw any posts on FB from you anyway. I wondered if you just weren't on there much or???? I actually am using FB a lot lately; I'd have far much less idea what was going on with my kids than if I weren't on it.

Hope your week is off to a spectacular start!!

Wow - what an impressive day!!!! TSMM six times and everything else by 12:30! :worship: Great shirts! Jordan loves Beauty and the Beast - she insists on seeing it every trip. I  Broadway too! How exciting - an impromptu meet with Pat! Love your poses on RNR!

You rode TSMM 6 times?! :worship: Too bad you didn't beat Glenn's score. It would've rubbed salt in the wound :rotfl2:

Yeah, it was too bad, I didn't beat either of your scores! I'm actually pretty certain maroo did though! But I can't remember what the total was, so I'll have to call her and ask. After all that study, and all those times riding it, I was beyond disappointed I couldn't make it happen. <admits defeat>

Can you even believe it??!! ALL by 12:30!

I can take or leave B&B. I do love the voice, but it just isn't my favorite story, really. I"ve seen it 3 times- for me that's enough.

HAHA, those poses were maroo's idea, I think. What silly girls we are. I love that LeeAnn is simply holding on for dear life! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Leissa,

Sat down and read your blog last night. You truely are a inspirational women, WOW I could never have endured what you and you family did. God bless you.

I don't know why this didn't come up in the original batch of replies... :confused3 So sorry this is out of order...

Most people could have endured it; it was just how life was. You'd be surprised how much fortitude you can find when needed!! :goodvibes Of course, looking forward to our vacation out of the country sure helped...

Are. You. Kidding. Me?! SIX RIDES ON TSM! I'm in total awe, I don't think I've ridden TSM that many times over two trips. Mind=Blown Then, you go to the Animation Academy, RnRC, ToT and Beauty & the Beast by 12:30... :worship: Your skills ;) Sorry you didn't make your goal on TSM, but those were pretty good scores :thumbsup2 And great shirts, very cool (:

Now after amazing us with this feat, you are now going to starve us? :sad2: That's just not okay. Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

We were working the system for sure! It was a fantastic morning and the day only got BETTER and BETTER!!! If you think the morning was good, just wait until the afternoon!

Yeah, I have to get a Pee Before Pooh update up today, then I can do another ABC's update. We'll see!

 6 times?? And without going hard Opening through Closing? What black magic is this?

It was carefully crafted using rare potions (ie, Volunteer FiPs) and wicked incantations (think: "If we do this first...")

It is a great ride! Maybe you're onto something with the applesauce...this could be a new pre-trip training regimen!

Think of the possibilities! I could market this new training program and make millions!

Nonsense. Tink's just been sampling a little too much of that Caveman cheese.

Actually, I totally forgot to go back and edit that the top one was maroo's, and the bottom was mine. Those were NOT the same drawing.

:woohoo::cool1: Spontaneous Dismeet!

:banana::banana::banana:

Crane technique. If do right, no can defense.

 I think I've got it down to an art.

:woohoo::cool1: I got a shout-out! :banana:

Hey, wait a minute... :headache: :sad2:

You saw it coming, right?

Wow! That is a bit of a dirty trick, though...

Of course, none of us here would have turned the FastPasses down! :rotfl2:

I dunno, I thought it was brilliantly played; and all maroo's idea. I was so focused on blowing Glenn and Jen's scores out of the water, I didn't know what was going on. :confused3

:worship::worship::worship:

That's a serious BFP, and accomplishment! And...I must say...

Way to work the system!

We rocked it! And still got out of there in time for a fun lunch- notice I didn't say delicious lunch...

And I don't think your Tink was bad at all. :goodvibes

Haha. You're too kind, Kathy! Of all the drawings yet: Carl, Donald and Tink- this one is by far the most ummmm... funky.

I don't think your Tink looked neanderthal - she might be just a tad poutier than normal, the little brat. Or maybe she's getting ready to blow up a Mickey balloon. Its also possible she just had her wisdom teeth pulled. ;)

:lmao::lmao::lmao: VERY funny!! All very good guesses as to what "went wrong".

I submit it can't be done. Impossible!

Not true! I can be- we ARE the proof in the EATING of the pudding. (Remember that discussion of idioms?)

Oh boy. Here it comes.

WHAM!

But you know...Jenbear is the cham-peen of this little crew. :headache:

I couldn't remember all the drama surrounding the challenge; I just remember some trash talk ensued (with at least a little done by yours truly). Crow tastes rather nasty.

 Maybe you want to rephrase that to "warm up for a second attempt".

Yeah, maybe that's a better way of putting it. :scared1:

And yes, if you ride that puppy 6 times your arms are going to just hang at your sides as if you're some kind of Neanderthal Tink.

We'd make quite a pair, Tink and I. :lmao:

Oh, what a coincidence...I just said that!

But seriously, I think it's a good rendering. :thumbsup2

:lmao::lmao: Way to work the text, there Glennbo! :sad2: It was about as good as your average 4 year old could render.

Stalker! ;)

Speaking of whom, I just got a letter from Jordan. :)

He's a busy letter writer these days!

I remember thinking that it was actually longer than I thought it was (but I thought it was pretty short, like you). Er, I mean like you thought, not like you're short....even though you might be um, vertically challenged.

Commas: The most essential writing tool on the market today.

Anyway, it's still a great ride. My favorite roller coaster at WDW.

Everest, and I'm sticking to it.

I'm going to remember this for a later comment...

I know where this is going!

Now wait a second....isn't that Pat the Poolrat next to you :confused3

Why, yes! Yes, it is!

My pride thanks you.

I see you Jenbear! ;)

Don't let it get to comfy- someday, I'll be back. ;)

Well I'm thankful this TR isn't moving at it's usual speed or I would have had way to much catching up to do. Enjoyed a short vacation to MT involving a small fair and relaxing in a beautiful cabin on a river. Good food and family- love it!

Oooh, vacations are great! Yes, even ones NOT at Disney- oops! Did I really just say that?? Yours sounds truly relaxing and lovely! What a great way to re-charge and just BE. :thumbsup2

I also got a little detoured by a thread of strange pictures that led me to a strange TR by a rugged cowboy named Colt- odd.

That was a wild and weird one- I remember it well. Turns out, it was likely a sham of sorts.... Glenn might be able to give you his 2 cents, but I smelled it right off the bat. Odd is a very appropriate word!

As for the strange picture- I know EXACTLY the one you're talking about; it's coming to a TR near you soon... hint, hint. ;)

Anyway, I'm going to attempt a multi-quote!

You CAN do it!! :cheer2:

Sure thing, just send me your social security number and your bank account numbers and I'll get right on that. I'll also need those numbers to deposit the 3 million dollars you've just won in the Sri Lankan lottery so don't delay!!

Actually I've heard the investments in Nigeria are much more of a sure bet :) :rotfl2:

As for the hard working yard workers, I'd be happy to send them over for training if you promise to send them back with cheerful attitudes and a renewed spirit of dilligence. (Actually my 16 year old is quite handy with a lawn mower and he's cheerful- because we pay him!)

I don't know about cheerful attitudes- but I promise they will get at least 8 oz of water and a small handful of crackers to carry them through. ;):lmao::lmao: There will be no chains involved- at least for the first hour.

And check out the ticker :cool1: :woohoo:

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Planning has definitely begun!! I may drive my family crazy before our vacation gets here but they still love me- for now. I'm sure I'll have many questions. In fact here's one- can you watch Wishes from the Poly if you're not staying there?

YES!! You totally can, and it's amazing!! Again, NOT like on Main Street, but if you've already seen them one from there and want something fun to do, you CAN!! The music is piped in, the sand is soft, and if you get a drink from the Tambu, you're golden for a really great evening!

Also praying for you Liesa. I dealt with some of this family drama last year when my mother passed away. As the only daughter I was given the task of sorting through things first and felt that my brothers were giving me the eye. I really didn't want anything- I'm barely 40 with a baby. I still want my Mom, not her china!!

And to Jill and her cousins' family, I can't imagine such sorrow. I'm hugging my children a little tighter as I pray for you all.

I just think it's totally unfair to me that I 'm stuck with the physical (read hard) labor of boxing it all up to make room for my own things. Whole rooms are full of crap, that I need to package and store. I call foul!

Wow, 6 times on TSMM in one morning?? I'm amazed! My poor arm would never make it. I love the ride, but it sure makes my arm sore if I ride it more than once in a short amount of time.

I thought your drawing of Tink was great. The only time I tried the Animation Academy I discovered I have absolutely zero artistic talent.:sad2: There was a little child sitting next to me and her drawing was way better than mine. Oh well, I'm glad I tried it once. I may take one more shot at it next trip.

Terri

Hey Terri! I was definitely feeling it the next day for sure!! I was S.O.R.E.!!!

I love the AS for the free souvenir! :lmao: No matter how bad it is, FREE is still a good price. :rotfl2:

This article and great photos about Club 33 were on the Disney Blog yesterday. I thought you guys might be interested since we were discussing it a couple of updates ago. Have a great weekend!

http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...ampaign=Feed:+DisneyParks+(Disney+Parks+Blog)

Oh boy! I'll have to go there now! Thanks!

WOW! There just aren't very many Kazakhs around here at all- it's VERY tough for them to get visas right now. Amazing that s/he was working at the boardwalk- usually they are students and not allowed to work.

Don't worry about being absent- summer has been full of really great AND really tough stuff pulling me away from the boards for weeks. Once fall rolls around things should even out into a more predictable routine- and we can all get back to finding more regular time on here :)

All in good time my lady.

There are a few memorable moments that happened that must be told first. :rotfl2: Travelling witha teenaged boy has some surprises. ;)

Alrighty, but I think you remember WAY more about this morning that I do. Things are really starting to fuzz out on me, and that despite pretty decent notes. I must have slacked off on that, though, that morning.

:worship:

Well, I have high hopes of getting a bunch more canning done before school starts, so we'lll see how much DISing gets done this week.

Thanks for reading along on the blog- it's good to get our story out in some fashion.

I loooooove hearing about your mom and aunt giggle and laugh about days gone by. It felt like I was there watching it with you. :cloud9: I can't imagine what great memories that must have been for them, I bet it was great therapy for your aunt Cherie. :goodvibes

She said many, many times how much she was enjoying herself, and how glad we were to have gotten the opportunity to go. I'm SO glad we'll always have those memories!

TSM 6 times! I haven't even been on it once! That's pretty cool! Y'all looked like you were having such a great time, I'm so glad Pat found you all! She's a trip! I bet she made the day even more fun by hanging with y'all.

Pat's a blast to hang out with!! I"m glad she found us too!! And not just once... :rolleyes1

WOW 6 times on TSMM!!! I think our max is 3 times and we don't have FP at California Adventure!! lol Once in the morning during the mad dash, 2nd early afternoon if the wait isn't too long and then right before park closing we get in line. Love hearing your updates and glad to see you guys are still having a great time!!

I noticed that at CA! What a rip off- as it was our longest line by far there! And it was HOT!

The other thing that helped get us through was the fact that maroo was in a wheelchair, so a couple of the times we got right on. but then again, a couple of the other times we waited a LOooooooooong time. So, maybe it didn't help after all. Hmmm.. :confused3

Great update Leisa!

It is, but only if you have a special FiP of some kind I think. We just happened to be blessed with the ones maroo had. WOOT!

I Luuuuuuuuuuv being in the front row on ToT!! That makes for an amazing ride and view at the top!

I dinked around with the exposure and color on that one- and like how it turned out too! :thumbsup2

WOW!!! That was one amazing feat! I am super duper impressed and a little jealous! :lmao: Cute t-shirts, too.

Why thank you, Madam! :goodvibes

PHEW! An hour and a half later I'm done with replies on this thread!! I hope I can get photos uploaded for the next chapter of Pee Before Pooh, and start writing for it as well. But we shall see... the kids aren't even up yet, and it's like 9:30- kind of like the last relaxation before we ALL have to start getting up at 6:30 every day for school. UGH, I do NOT look forward to that- NIGHT OWLS, Unite!!!

Summer fun continues on here. Just a sampling of the stuff on my plate this week:

Andrew did NOT pass his driver's test last week, and the ONLY appt. I could find before he left again was in a town on the beach about an hour and a half away tomorrow. He better pass it, because gas ain't cheap! That's at 2:30. At 6:30, we're meeting a family at a local historical park to learn how to waltz properly. They are one of those families who is incredibly gifted at music of all kinds, and one of the boys is bringing his fiddle to play Swedish waltzes for us to practice with. I can't wait!!!

But today, is more pressure washing on my house, and a bit of time in the yard, and making some dilly beans. My neighbor traded me an hour of work weeding for all the beans I want. So I picked yesterday, and got about half a grocery sack full of beautiful straight beans that will be perfect for canning!

Friday, Andrew leaves again for school. He is excited, but I imagine he'll be a bit more homesick this time around as he's made some pretty good friends here over the summer. Oh! and remember the hanky panky that was going on in his dorm room? Yeah. well, she's due with their child any day. I grieive a bit because if Andrew had been more forthright, his roommate and his girlfriend may have been spared this detour in their life plans. I think he learned his lesson, and promises to "lay down the law" with his new roomie right off the bat.

Anyway, summer is winding down here. 3 of the 4 who will be home this year start school on Sept. 6th and Bek and myself will start on the 23rd. It's an exciting time for all of us!

Love you all!

You saw it coming, right?

Well, yeah. I'd make fun of me in that situation too.

I dunno, I thought it was brilliantly played; and all maroo's idea. I was so focused on blowing Glenn and Jen's scores out of the water, I didn't know what was going on. :confused3

I was just giving you grief with the "dirty trick" comment. Anytime you get the chance to ride TSMM 6 times, you gotta go for it! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Six times?! I am pretty certain my arm would have fallen off by that time! But that is some AWESOME touring! Nice work!!!

And as always, love your Disneyland updates!! What a fun time on the train reminiscing. I look forward to that when Henry grows up!

I was a bit behind and just read about the ordeal with your family going on - I hope that has cleared up and things are beings sorted more calmly. And I too can't believe summer is coming to a close! My baby is about to go off to school, and all the little details of school shopping will need to be done between now and then! I also don't look forward to the busy mornings school requires.

What a shame about Andrew's roommate...I must have missed that whole thing. I hope things go better with this years roomie! And good for him for laying down the law! :thumbsup2

Good luck to Andrew tomorrow! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

This is a whirlwind time of year here too - first day of school at a new school, all of the activities starting back up and Jordan's birthday on 9/10.
