Abby Girl's Wish Trip MAW/GTKW Pre Trip Report Feb 24 - March 2, 2011

Well we are now into the New Year. We had a very low key New Year's, which was very nice. Abby made it to the New Year, barely. I ended up cleaning my house New Year's Eve for like 3 hours just to keep myself awake.

Now that 2011 is here, we are getting more and more excited for Abby's wish trip. I can't believe how close it is getting.

Had to give Abby more loritab tonight. She was getting a drink and water splashed in her face and scared her. She jumped and jarred her back, which, threw her in back pain.

She is so ready to go back to school tomorrow, poor thing has been so bored. I am ready for the routine again, at least that will make time go by faster.

Ok I have been trying to keep this a secret... WE WERE CHOSEN FOR THE BIG GIVE!!! I am so excited. This trip is going to be an amazing trip of a lifetime for all of us especially Abby.

We are all getting so excited. Abby woke up bright and early this morning for school and says, ok back to school and now Disney can come faster.

I want to thank everyone for all their generosity and help they have given us.

The first Big Give package came today. A very special thank you to The Laxton family. I have no idea the disboard name as it was not in it. We are very thankful for the gift card and I can assure you it will definitely come in handy

Here they are reading and wondering what it is, the gift card slipped on the floor so they were a little confused

They finally realized what it is and boy there is smiles all around.

The whole Big Give is amazing. I can't wait to share more pictures with everyone.

I called Disney Dining tonight to get our original adr to Chef Mickey's changed to a different date instead of Feb 25 the day after we arrive and the nice lady told me on the phone that MAW had a reservation for a party of 2, we are a party of 5, so if I never would have called, only myself and Abby would have been able to go. I know MAW is only paying for 2 of us, but I thought they would have made the reservation for all 5, since I told her that is fine, we will just pay for the other 3. Our new adr is the 26th @ 7:25 am. Oh well, now I just need to figure out what time we should wake up and how long to allow ourselves to get there.

oh, good thing you called, that wouldn't of been good to show up and not be able to eat all together! that's an early morning, I forget where you are staying, but if you're using Disney Transporation I'd give yourself 45-60 minutes unless you take a taxi or are really close

It will take you about 30 minutes to drive to the Contemporary Resort from GKTW. You have to drive like you are going to the MK. When you get to the MK gate stay to the right hand side. Tell the CM that you are going to the CR and they will let you through. Once you park at the CR, it will take you a few minutes to get to CMs. There is an elevator in the lobby that you can take up to the restaurant. I would think you would have to leave GKTW by 6:45.

My fav too, She was really hoping she could see thru the box.

I wish you all could see how excited she gets when she gets something in the mail. She keeps saying "for me, I did???" over and over.
