I booked a flight for DS and I at the end of October (I like to plan ahead!) on Airtran. a couple days ago, I got an email saying that our flight had been changed, meaning we leave WDW 3 hours earlier and then have a 4 hour layover in Atlanta and get home 2 hours later!! This is a very short trip anyway, and we booked Airtran rather than southwest specifically to gain an extra hour and a half in the parks! When I called Airtran to ask about it, I got this long recording about a $60 per person charge to change flights, etc. :confused3 Does anyone have any experience with this? Will the flight times change again between now and October? What would YOU do?

Hi, I had the same thing happen to me. Got the email Sat, called Airtran Sunday, and they gave me a few options, no penalty fee. I chose to switch to a morning flight the next day, and pay for 1 more night at our hotel. I have a thread going titled "Annoyed with Airtran" if you want to check it out. Seems we are not the only ones this has happened to.

There should not be a fee to you if they eliminated your flight time. Give them a call, and speak to a customer service rep, they will change you to a flight that works better for you for no additional cost.
