HELP - HELP - HELP! I booked a special SW Internet Special Fare of $59 each way from ALB-MCO for two adults and 2 kids.

When the confirmation printed out it indicated each Passenger Type as Senior. I just noticed this while checking the procedure for online checkin. We gave everyone's birth dates during online registration, why would the passenger types be listed as Senior? Are we going to have problems with online checkin since Senior fares must be age verified? Since we are NOT seniors, will we lose the fare rate we booked? One week to go and this is giving me the major jitters! :hyper:

On the first page of the reservation screen where it asks "How many are traveling" could you have accidentally clicked on the senior drop down button instead of the adult? I would also suggest calling SW asap.

Should I call the Reservations Department at 800-435-9794
or Customer Relations at 214-792-4223?

Has anyone ever seen this before? I had to input all of our birth dates, seems very weird.

Update: I called Customer Service and Pam, who was very nice, stated that all of the fares are regular 'internet special' fares, none listed as Senior in their system. Ah, the strange mysteries of the computer. Thanks all.

If they really HAD been senior fares it would have caused two problems.
First the software would have denied online checkin, and then you would have had to purchase the fare difference when you arrived at the ticket counter. In a situation where this happened for real, the only good fix would be to cancel the tickets and start over ASAP.

Except that the flights are now sold out and the base price is 3x what I paid - don't even want to think about that. I guess I won't know for absolute sure until 24 hours out when we go for online checkin - and be prepared for a battle at the airport counter, if necesary.

I think that if the SWA phone rep told you that it was OK, then it should be.

You could always ask them to email you a verification that the fares are NOT age-dependent.
