Aaack. We've been invaded!

I was just reading threads on here the other day about animals invading people's house. Now we've been HIT! We don't know if
it was a bird or squirrel, but whatever it was, it sure liked our silk and artificial plants. Must've been looking for the real stuff. Knocked quite a few of our plants off tables AND the walls. The bad thing is we don't know if it is still inside, though! I'm not sure if I really want to be awakened in the middle of the night!
If anyone hears screaming from central Alabama tonight, don't worry it's just ME!

I don't know if we are critter free or not, yet. My 8yr old DS awoke us at 7:30 this morning saying he'd seen it in the storage room off of the kitchen. So my DH went in and opened the door that opens off of the storage room into the back yard, so he could 'escape'. But, when I got up a few minutes ago, my DS had that door shut saying HE thought it had already escaped. Of course I asked him if he had actually seen it escape, and got a NO. So we're still in suspense, here. It could be interesting today. We will keep the storage room door to the kitchen shut today just in case.

Well it looks like the little 'invader' is gone, we haven't seen anything of him since Saturday morning, but OHHHHHH what I found this morning. I didn't wash clothes like I should've this weekend (shame on me, but needed the rest ), and when going through the little pile I had under my window the morning to throw them on to wash, I found bits of wood. AACKKKK! That little 'rodent' just about chewed up our window frame trying to get out Friday. I hadn't seen it until this morning since it is covered with blinds. So anyone know how much a new window costs? I wonder if it is less than my renter's insurance deductible..... Oh well....
