Finally ran out and had to re-order...$125 for a full face-cord delivered. Either I forgot it was that high or it has gone up with everything else. Hhowever, love a fire and DS still using the firepit outside so can't wait for the delivery! (stacking it however, not so anxious to do that, lol)

That doesn't sound too bad. Here they charge about $60 for a rick and we have to pick it up ourselves. A rick is anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2 a cord so I think $125 delivered is a decent price. But then we're in the Chicago burbs, everything is more expensive here!

small world, I'm in Naperville :wave2: It has been 2 years since we ordered and it was $95 then so I was expecting an increase but maybe like, $10.

Come here to Southern California, a cord delivered and stacked starts at $375. Depending upon the types of wood you want, it goes as high as $500. per cord.

When we lived in Oregon a half a cord would be $150. And we were in the middle of timber country!

A forest permit $25. I have a chain saw and truck. We go out and cut about 3 cords for friends and neighbors.

:scared1:

Gotta love So Cal! But I'll keep my cord of TN oak stacked and delivered for $140, thank ya very much.

I just paid $99 for a rick, 1/3 of a cord and we had to pick it up ourselves!!! Last year we paid $99 and that included delivery. We are in the greater Cleveland area.

In the Washington DC area it is $200-$250 per cord dilevered then additional to stack it.

I've seen tons of posts on Craigslist in my area for free firewood. You need to come get it and cut it up, but lots of people have downed trees they'd like to get rid of.

I just got a flier in the mail from the closest place to me. They are CRAZY!! They want $139 for a Rick and $319.99 for a full cord! :scared1: AND you have to go pick it up or pay EXTRA for delivery!

We use around 1 1/2 - 2 a year. We have a lot of trees down in our wooded lot so hopefully DH will have time over the couple of weeks to cut some for next year.

Oh the memories of living in Southern Ontario and stacking the wood out in the cold. Thanks for one of the good memories:goodvibes

wow, I am more appreciative after reading these prices. DS and I had it stacked in about 45 minutes or so....we were down to 3 logs so really happy we got it delivered. Now we are set for the winter!:thumbsup2

I wish you all lived closer to me! I had a 40ft plus Maple fall in a storm in Aug. We cut it all up and put an ad on craigslist for free wood. All anyone had to do was come pick up and haul. One person replied and took about 3 logs for a camping trip they were going on. :confused3 I still have half a tree cut and stacked against my fence, and no fireplace to put it in! My little fire pit can only burn so much.

I'll let you borrow DH's chainsaw and you can have as much as you want if you can keep 'em from hitting the power lines and knocking out power for days at a time! :lmao:

I was annoyed when I heard the higher prices in Central NY. I was going to pay 85/face cord delivered and I thought it was too high. instead i will pay 60 per face cord picked up. which now seems like a bargain.

on my bright side, i just split about 5 face cords for next year, all at the cost of the rented splitter (65 bucks).
