AAA vs. Disney Visa discount?

I was just wondering if the AAA discount on the room ends up being better than the Disney Visa discount. I am debating about getting AAA which is about $70 here or just waiting in hopes of a Disney Visa discount. We already booked a package with a TA but still have plenty of time to cancel since we aren't going until Dec.5-13. Also, it looks like 12/5 and 12/6 are going to be blackout dates.
Any thoughts on this are greatly appreciated!!

Book with the AAA discount, you can always cancel and book with a Disney Visa Discount if it becomes available.

Hope this helps.

Disney Visa discounts are few and far between...go with AAA as they have a more consistant discount program.

Disney Visa discounts are usually just a few days advance booking availability on discounts eventually released to the public. Rarely are there specific options that the general public never gets access to.

On the other hand, AAA is consistent. I have the Disney Visa which I use for my Disney dollars rewards, and I have my AAA membership which I use for getting my AAA discounts. We always go in the summer when there are rarely other discounts, so I've used AAA the last three summers in a row. We save between $300 and $400 each time (though savings depend on the resort).

My last few times, I've booked thru AAA and used the Disney Visa discount as well...but the Visa discount has been for the park hopper and more discount...good luck!

You can really work that AAA to maximise your benefits & savings...not so much with the Disney Visa. (You could actually do both, and just use the one that gives the most bang for the buck at the time, too.)

When we booked our May 2008 trip through AAA in January, they were having a "Disney month" special going...besides the 20% room discount, we also got a $25 Disney gift card & a car DVD player. Nice gifts.

And keep in mind, you do get more for your AAA membership than just the opportunity to book Disney trips. You can also book any other vacations through your AAA people, and get additional travel discounts & special offers that way (I know, blasphemy to say there is any other type of vaca!)

Also, you get the road service peace-of-mind...and that's year round, in your home town not just on vaca. And, trip-tic map services customised to your route.

And your AAA card is good for discounts at lots of places, including national chain book stores, florists, restaurants...they'll give you a list, and update it every month.

so that yearly membership fee can easily be made up over the course of the year.
