AAA room only res and ddp

Hi,

I read the FAQ and still have a question.

I plan on visiting Disney in August (free dining or not). If I cannot get free dining I plan on using an AAA room only discount and buy a 1 day park ticket as I still have days left on a non-expiring. If I do this can I purchase the dining plan while getting the AAA discount or AP discount if I decide to get one of those.

From what I have read it seems that the DDP is based on the nights you have at your Disney resorts and not on park ticket options, so the answer would be yes. You can book the dining plan with your room even though you already have tickets! Hope you have a blast!

From what I have read you can't get any discounts and get the dining plan. I am not positive about the tickets. But I heard its a package thing.

You cannot combine the Disney Dining Plan with a room-only reservation, no matter what you pay for the room per night.

You can get an AAA discount on a package that includes the Disney Dining Plan at its normal price.

In 2005, you could combine the AAA package discount with the Free DDP promotion.

In 2006, you could NOT combine the two dicounts.

A Room Only reservation is just that, a room only reservation.
To get DDP, you need to buy a WDTC package, which will include at least a one day park ticket for each guest in your res.
You can contact AAA and buy a AAA MYW + Dining package.
