AAA rates on Club levels? Have you ever gotten one?

I've been calling repeatedly trying to get any AAA rates on club level rooms at either the AKL or WL and have not been successful.
Has anyone ever been able to get a AAA rate on the conceirge level rooms?
Do they exist? I am trying to book for Jan. 08 and maybe they have not released any rooms for a AAA rate???

Hi there...yes they offer AAA rates on the Club Level Rooms. I almost always travel w/ AAA rates and we've been staying at the Poly and Contemp Club level rooms for almost 10 years.

may I ask when you are going in Jan?

The situation may be that you are goigng during a popular period. AAA rates are limited in number and when they are gone, they are gone.

I haven't tried for AKL or WL, but I did get my reservation for CR Tower Club at a AAA rate.

I think they usually release AAA rates around this time of year, so I guess it's possible they're not out yet for January

I called the first day 2008 rates were out and snagged AAA discount on WL honeymoon suite. I was totally shocked when they applied the discount. I expected to pay rack rate. Now I am hoping for AP discount on the room when they come out. Oh.. almost forgot, we are checking in WL on 01/01 for 9 nights. I asked about AKL AAA rate on a CL room when I called to apply discount to WL room, but no discount was available for the AKL CL for that period.

I think the AAA discounts are available but small in number. We tried for one for 10 months before our October '06 stay at WL Concierge - no luck! We tried for one for the Atrium Club at CR right after '08 rates came out and kept trying; no luck but we did manage to snag an AP discount last week and save $427 plus get a $75 dining card.

You can get them but you might have to wait list. For example, I made ressies in May 2006 for our early December 2006 trip and wanted Wilderness Lodge. That wasn't available, but Beach Club was - so I ended up with a split stay, 5 nights Beach Club concierge - and then 4 nights ALK - but the concierge wasn't available at first. In July that cleared.

I have a AAA rate on a deluxe club level room at the BWI for Jan 1 - Jan 3. We are then going to the Poly for four nights (where I also have a AAA rate), but that's not for club level. However, when I was playing around with the numbers, I asked about a WL club level, just to see the price difference. They offered me a club level room with a AAA rate from Jan 3 - Jan 7. I didn't take it, but it was offered.

I made the call the day after the rates came out, so I guess they could be gone already. Maybe it's the combination of days you're looking for ... sometimes when you switch the dates or split the trip, the discounts/room availability you're looking for magically appears on their computers.

Man, I guess you have to act fast. I think of myself as a planner, but I guess I waited too long on this one! I have been calling regularly to see if something opened up but no luck so far.

I have gotten club level with AAA...as others have said, there's not so many offered and you either have to act fast or be lucky enough to grab someone else's cancellation!

I just got it for 2 club rooms at AKL in May 2008. I had made ressies earlier this month and the AAA rates weren't out yet. Called today and they were. Saving us about $70 per night per room so pretty happy about it!

You're lucky...I called today for July 2008 and there were no AAAconcierge level rooms at AKL
