In the past I have checked on the prices of AAA packages and they haven't been as good as I could get on my own. My question is can I get a package for 4 nights at 1 hotel with 7 days hopper passes with dining for the 4 nights?
Also if I would book a room with AAA rate through disney and later decide to add the package is there anyway to do that and keep my discounted room rate.

Thanks

To answer the first part of the question, yes you can get a package for 4 nights, 4 days of the dining plan and can get tickets for as few as one day or as many as 10. The number of days on the tickets do not have to match the nights at the resort, while the days of the dining plan do need to match the nights at the resort.
As to the second question, no you could not do that. A AAA package needs to be booked with a AAA travel agent. While you can get a room only AAA discount through disney, once you want a package with the AAA room discount you need to go through AAA. You would have to cancel the room only reservation with disney and make a new package reservation with AAA.

Here's the thing in the past when I have check AAA rates on packages, I have never gotten a discounted room rate not sure why but the package was equal to rack rate. I was hoping that if I booked one and then decided to add the other stuff later that I could have the AAA TA use my reservation I already had somehow. I knew it would be a long shot.

Thanks,
Karen

Youre getting the same price because you CANT book a AAA package. Only a AAA agent can.

I never said that I was booking a AAA package! I have checked with TA's in the past and the quoted price did not include a discounted room rate. Just curious why?

Its because one was not available for the dates youre looking for. AAA has Magical Moment discount packages and regular AAA packages with no discounts but with discount cards and parking passes and other stuff. The agent needs to look for a magical moment package

Our dates were flexible so I guess we just didn't have a TA that was able or maybe willing to look for the discount for us like I asked. Very frustrating. We have always been able to book cheaper on our own but curious how others were getting a better deal with a AAA package. We have checked on 3 different trips and a cruise and no discount. Again with flexible times.

Which resorts are you looking for? I know the club level rooms are VERY limited with the AAA discount as are theme park view rooms. As long as youre at least 3 months out you should have pretty good availability with the AAA discount. Maybe your local AAA office doesnt book a lot of disney and isnt looking in the right place????

I always get a AAA room only reservation right through Disney and then get tickets on my own elsewhere. I have never found that a package will save me any money. You get the room discount, but pay full price for the tickets. Doing it on my own I can get the room discount and save some, not much, on the tickets.
The dining plan doesn't interest me, since my DD would be charged as an adult and eats like a mouse. Unless there was some special being offered in a package, free tickets or something like that, a package saves me no money. And if there was something free with the package, wouldn't be able to get the AAA room discount anyway.

I think I will just do things on my own. It really seems to be the cheapest way for us. Thanks for the replys.
