AAA Question----please help!

OK.....I have AAA and we are planning on going Sept. 2006. We definitely want the dining plan. So, is my best bet to just book thru a AAA TA? I got a quote from DU.....do they do AAA packages or can I only get it thru my AAA TA?

I always thought that you could book a package through AAA TA's only, but I could be wrong. Anyone know for sure?

Snoops--I had never booked a AAA package before until just recently. I have always made my own reservations--room only with the AAA discount. Thanks to the great folks here on the Disboards, I discovered a wonderful AAA agent, Michelle Shears, out of South Carolina. I live in GA but I called her and she booked 6 rooms for me for our party of 12 all with AAA packages for Feb. 2006. We got the AAA discount on the rooms and the dining plan. Is it different than a room + tix? Does it apply to specific seasons (for example, Christmas)? Are there other benefits?

You can only book a AAA package with a AAA TA. I had a room only and wanted to do the dining/tickets but Disney said I needed to get that thru AAA. So, like someone else said, I called Michelle Shears, who is wonderful and booked my December package. You can only call Disney directly for a room only AAA rate.

A package includes your room, park tickets and the dining option.

Booking with AAA also gets you their diamond card, which gets you discounts on dining and backstage tours and merchendice at DTD among other things.

Diamond parking if you drive to the parks

And a voucher to get a soft drink n MK at their special away from the beten path place.
