AAA Parking Vouchers

Officially, you have to purchase a Disney Vacation package in order to get the Diamond parking voucher. You may however get lucky with your local AAA, can't hurt to ask.

I agree, I'd ask.

I did ask (I am a AAA member) but was told I had to buy my tickets through them (not a package, and just one ticket was sufficient). I had already bought my tickets though, so I was out of luck.

That said, I posted a request for one here on the Dis boards (Budget board, I think), and someone sent me one they were through with.

The passes are labeled by year (for example, the one I had was 2006, so it's not good anymore), but that's all. They can be used over and over (with the exception of the blackout dates). If the AAA parking section is full, you'll be sent to the regular parking.

While we are on the subject of parking- I have a question....

If you pay for parking at one park and hop to another- Do you have to pay to park each time you hop?

No, save your receipt and show it at the gate at the next park, and you won't have to pay.

Keep in mind AAA spaces can be full (Probably due to people swapping and buying) At Epcot for example, it's one row which is shared with the Kennel!

Thanks to dismomma and springandmac. Both AAA offices I contacted in my region said I had to book through them to get a parking pass. I emailed the address you provided and was told they would send my a pass. Thanks again for your advice.

I called my local AAA last week and asked about tickets and parking pass. She said they had both and just stop by and pick up. I have had times using parking pass that all the spaces were taken and they just put you in line with everybody else. During busy season you have to get to the park early or in the evening after people have vacated parking spaces.

Keep in mind that the tram does not stop at AAA parking, so if you use it you have to walk more than if you just parked w/ everyone else and took the tram (and the walk from TTC for MK is looooong). We don't find that much benefit out of it. It can sometimes be convenient if you are staying for fireworks and leaving the park with the rest of humanity....then you can walk back to your car and avoid a tram line. Also, be aware that there are blackout dates on it. And other times, during the very low seasons, the AAA parking isn't even available to use.

Our AAA office says up front (both orally and written) that you have to buy at least a 5 day MYW ticket to be eligible for the parking pass. Other districts mandate a package. Each area is run as it's own separate entity I believe, with it's own policies on this.

tkldisney - what aaa office did you use? Here is the response I got:

I didn't have any other reservations for you. As far as the parking
pass, we only get them from Disney when we book our clients on a
package
with them. You may check with the Boardman office to see if they have
any extra coupons from any of their cancelled reservations.

Is this AAA agent telling the truth, are passes only available from Disney if you book through AAA? I've had many problems with this particular agent.

Just a note....

AAA has several "regions" It is highly possible that the requirements for your region are different then the policies for my region.

I will say that overall the "prevelant" info has always been you had to book a package. They used to be listed as a "perk" on the AAA packages and you didn't see them listed as "perk" on the ticket price listing for example. I haven't read the AAA package info in several years since this board has convinced me not to ever book one. (If someone is going to get a commission from me, I want them to have a CLUE LOL!)

The reason I asked tkldisney which office they used is because my AAA region includes part of Ohio. I live on the Ohio/Pennsylvania border and it would be easy for me to go to an Ohio office if they were more helpful than the Pennsylvania offices I've tried.
