AAA paper ticket question

Purchased tickets which I printed out from AAA. I find using phone everytime I need to scan into a ride cumbersome. When you enter park for first time (we have 4 day hoppers) can the person at gate provide you with an actual ticket (about the size of credit card with characters on them)? This is what we've done in the past. I read somewhere else that they no longer do this and your only choices are carrying around the actual paper I printed out at home or get a magic band and link to that. I havent been to DL since 2021 and wondering what the current policy is. Thanks!

I can not find the thread with this idea....

The person didn't want to use their phone to scan into the rides.
They printed a copy of the ticket and tape it to a piece of cardboard about the size of a cell phone.
Then used it to scan into rides instead of their cell phone.

From what I have read here and other places, they do NOT have the ability to give paper tickets at the turnstiles. You may be able to get one from the ticket booths.

Are you asking how you get these credit card looking ones? You are going to have to go to guest relations window befor eyou enter the parks and see if they will turn your printed ticket into the card.

Can't you just add the ticket number to your Disneyland app?

On the app, click on the "hamburger" on the bottom right (the 3 bars). That will pull up the "My Tickets & Passes" which will be the top left square. Open that and click on the blue plus sign icon at the top right. Then you can scan the barcode (or enter the numbers) and your pass will be in that Tickets & Passes box. It's nice to screenshot it and have it handy for scanning in.

The tickets in the photo are for WDW. The OP is asking about DL.

Yes that’s what I was thinking of! Good idea to go to guest relations. If they can’t do it no one can 👍🏻

Yes we will prob be using LL and I was trying to avoid using my phone to scan in all the time. Thx for your advice though, that may end up being my back up if I can’t get cards

Good luck! I would love to have a physical card. I'd probably let them microchip me if they had a way, LOL.

Have you considered purchasing a magic band + ?

We are definitely getting Magic Bands this trip to avoid the really annoying process of having to open your phone, scan, swipe, select next person, scan, swipe repeat and repeat...... It gets old real quick. With everyone having their own MB they can scan into rides separately and we only need to be on our phone to make new LL's.

I would LOVE for there to be a way to not have to rely on the app/cell so much of the time in the parks.

So apparently, at least one person had her Disney puck implanted under the skin in her arm. The article said that she had a CM try and scan it and it worked, but the article was very vague on whether or not this was something that would actually get you into the parks. I'm thinking I'm ok with the band for now.

I’ve been using a Magic Band+ for the last couple of days and I love it. I did need to use my phone for the HM virtual queue, which uses a bar code the CMs need to scan.

I’m really glad I took the advice of people here and got a special rubber band to hold the strap together securely. It’s way too easy for the strap to come apart.

Yes I bought a pack of those too and they are already in my suitcase. I would be so sad if I lost my MB. Seems like Disney could tweak their design to make sure this doesn't happen. How hard is it to pop one of those little loops around the band like watches have as a security measure.

Yeah, Disney could include a security loop with the band. Now I have a pack of the little buggers and will have to check around for friends who have Fitbits or something to give the extras to.
