AAA Package Discounts?

Sorry, I know this has probably been answered 100 times, but I couldn't find a straight answer.
I know you can book room-only AAA discounts through CRO

AND

You have to book AAA discounted packages thru an AAA office.

So what exactly does an AAA package save money on? Is it just the 10-20% room discount figured into a package, or are there actual savings on MYW tickets and dining, too?

When booking a MYW package through AAA, the only discounted portion is the price of the room.

Now, oddly enough, I priced the MYW package with tickets and dining and was quoted a price that discounted the room only by about 10%, not the 20% discount that I was quoted when I inquired about room only rates. So, be careful and price it out both ways through AAA and you might want to check Disney's website for regular rack rates too before you settle on a plan. I hope this helps. Maggie
