AAA members discounts???

We leave in only a little over 2 weeks!!!

I have been SO busy with work that I am so glad that I started asking questions early!

Does anyone know if there are any benefits for AAA members in restaurants or in the parks? We are NOT staying on Disney property and our resort is already paid for. Just wondered if there are any discounts to look for!

I think other than packages and tickets there are no other AAA benefits at WDW. At USF/IoA there is, but do not think at WDW.

Make sure to check in on the DIS meets board and see about the fall Chicago area DIS meet in the planning stages for Oct/Nov. Would enjoy meeting you.

Correct. The only tix discount is for AAA employees.

At USF/IoA there is,

Food and shopping 10%.

One of the biggest benefits of being a AAA member is the Preferred Parking Certificate called Diamond Parking. This enables the holder of the certificate to park "up front". It isn't free parking. You will still need to pay the $7 per day, but from what I hear, it's a big convenience at all the parks.

I should have said that you need to purchase a vacation package, or your tickets, from AAA to receive the parking certificate.

There really aren't any discounts in the parks but there are many in Orlando. Check out your local AAA site or www.aaa.com and look at the Show your card and save. You will find lots of them.

I booked our trip through AAA, and when we got our package information, it included a Silver Diamond card (the name is something like that). It gives discounts for restaurants, shops, tours, spa, etc. All the discounts are 10-15% off.

If you booked a package through AAA, they give you a voucher for the VIP Lounge in Tomorrowland at the MK, plus the Diamond Discount Card and Diamond preferred parking as the other posters mentioned. You would receive them with your travel documents.

Even if you didn't buy a package or tickets from AAA, you can still ASK for the Diamond Parking Pass at your local AAA. It never hurts to ASK!! You never know....and the parking spots are great!

Yes it is.

I just ask if they still have AAA parking everytime I go and they tell me to just follow the blue line (Handicap Parking) they never ask to see my card.
