AAA Frustration! Need advice!

Expirateshopgirl - do you mind sharing the name and number of the AAA agent you called? I remember seeing a post about her awhile back but didn't keep track of it. My local AAA agents have been worthless - I went in the office twice in January and no one every called me back! I was very frustrated! Thanks for any help and I'm so glad she got you a good deal!!!



To those of you who use AAA and try to request special rooms like non-smoking or CT tower MK view - does AAA really add those requests to your reservation???? I currently have my package through Disney and at least I know it's noted on my reservation. Thanks!

AAA will add those to your ressie, just like Disney. AAA Agents work with Disney CRO to make your reservations, but they deal with CMs who answer a line just for TAs (this i learned today!)

When we booked throug CRO we saved $720 at WL , it was value season though so I don't know if that made a difference. We did have problems going through the AAA reservation people.

like everyone on the boards always say.... if the first time you call, and you don't like the answer, or they don't know, call back, you'll get someone else.

Actually I was able to through Dreams Unlimited.

I wonder how they were able to do this for you, although their website states they cannot - and everything I've seen through AAA says they're the only place you can get the AAA room discount + tickets + dining. That's odd.

Not questioning that you have the correct package, but I just wonder why the DU website says they can't do this.

First, I have had AAA for 20 years and will continue to for a long time. But......

My first trip was booked by a AAA travel agent at my local (at the time Missouri) office. We had never been to WDW, so I thought they would have some kind of inside knowledge of WDW. Yep, hadn't found the Dis boards yet. It cost at least $500 more than it should have. One thing that really bugged me, was our flights were suppose to leave later in the day. Well of course you want to get there as soon as possible, so I asked for an earlier flight. No problem - later found out it cost a pretty penny more, agent never mentioned it would cost more for us to leave earlier.

Since then, I do it all myself. I do get the tour books and maps for WDW from AAA, they can't be beat. Now I don't even buy packages. I book room only and then buy non-expiring hoppers.

When I made my reservations for December the CRO had no problems giving me the AAA rate. I then tried Dreams Unlimited who gave me the exact same AAA rate. (which was $293.00 a night at CR tower room only) so I'm satisfied as of now. Secondly I am shying away from the dining plan as early returns are knocking it down.

I went through this last month when I booked our trip for April. When I talked with WDW they said I couldn't get AAA discount thru them if purchasing the package. I got the cost of the package from them then called AAA. She said she could get the discount with the package. When she called me back, she quoted the same price I had been given from WDW. I informed her that it didn't include the discount even though WDW told her it did. She very nicely called them back and requested the 15% off the room rate and got it! I was very please with her help. I say try another AAA to help you.

I had the same problem and did it the same way a you. I just went through disney because it was cheeper. I had theAAA break it down for me to.

I would like the number of the contact that knows disney tho, I KNOW more then my AAA ta, I told her a few things, she wasnt aware were you got the q&c vouchers always wondered where people got them and she was not aware that you could purchase MagicMyWay passes at a discount. She couldnt beat airfare, rental cars, nothing.
