AAA food discount and charging to your room at the Dolphin?

We were planning on having lunch by the pool back at the hotel on our trip next week. I was also looking forward to that 20% discount on non-signature restaurant food at the Dolphin/Swan. How does this work if you are just charging to your room? Should I carry the AAA card with me, or is it just linked to our room number?

You will need to carry proof of your AAA membership to get the discount.

We do this all the time, you'll need your AAA card, and your room key (actually not even sure you NEED that, you can write your room number & sign the receipt.) Once they asked for the room key to see that the name on the key matched the AAA card, but only that one time.

Do you just show them the AAA card when you order? We can easily carry it with us, of course.
