AAA Discounts

Can anyone tell me what the usual AAA discount is on packages? We are not members be are considering it if the savings is worth it. I would rather rent DVC points for our vacation Oct 2- Oct 8 but DH is sold on the dining plan option. Is there a discount available for that time? Any help would be appreciated.

I believe it's 15%. See my post below with the phone number to call. I saved almost $400 on our November trip, that's for 2 rooms at CSR.

You'd be checking in during value season, so depending on the resort type, it's 15% off deluxe or home-away-from home resorts and 20% off values and moderates. If you're wanting the dining package and the discount off the room portion, you'll need to call a AAA travel agency to book a package. Discount is subject to availability, so certain room types or resorts might not have the discount.

I just got off the phone with Disney Travel and the CM stated that you cannot get the dining option with the AAA room discount. Can you get it if you book through AAA Travel?

Yes, you can. We booked our package thru AAA travel and received a 15% discount off our room

Yes, you can. It is very frustrating when you get a CM on the phone that doesn't really know what's going on. The first CM I spoke with in trying to book our November trip told me she couldn't apply the AAA disount at all. I posted the phone number for AAA/Disney direct on another thread.
