AAA discounts--how much?

My dh and I are considering getting AAA again. I read that people are getting discounts for disney if they are AAA members. Could someone tell me how much the discount is usually for? Can you use it for packages or room only? I thought this would be a nice perk if there aren't any codes out for the times we are going. Also, does anyone know if the discount can be used for the cruises? Thanks!

I know it is 15% off deluxe hotels in value season.

the AAA discount is as follows:
20% during value season, 15% during regular season, 15% during peak season, and none after 12/19.

I just bought the AL AAA membership yesterday for $37 and made my Sports ressie for spring break. It reduced the room from $109+tax to $92.65+tax. Even after the membership, I'm still saving over $36 which can be used for souvenirs!!!

You don't have to have the membership at ressie time, but must present the card at check-in.

CM told me that the only way to get reduced tickets would be from an AAA branch office.

Yes, the AAA website showed DCL on their menu.

The AAA discount is great for booking a room when there are no other discounts available for your dates. I've used it a couple of times now and was happy for the few $$ it saved us.

As for DCL, AAA doesn't give a discount exactly. They'll quote you the same rate you'd get as booking directly with DCL, but they have some extra perks such as the free soda mugs which would save you $35 each for a 7-night cruise. There may be some exceptions to this, I've heard of a couple of times that AAA was able to get a slightly better rate than what was quoted through DCL, but usually they are exactly the same.
