AAA Discount?????

I went to AAA to book my Universal trip on 12/27-12/31. I got a price for Portofino and tickets and then compared this to the price I got myself through the Universal web site. The price was exact---to the penny!!! I thought the price would be better through AAA???!!!
What's the advantage of booking through AAA then???

it usually is cheaper.....maybe AAA rooms are all sold out and you just got the UO price I'm not sure exactly why they are the same price, but i'm sure someone will know.......

I am not showing AAA available on the netbooker site at PBH for your dates. Only the seasonal rate. They may release AAA rates later on in the year. They may not since your dates are during a peak holiday week.

Thanks for checking! I think I will wait a little but I'm always afraid of places being all booked so I usually book early.

Well, now that I know that AAA is not offering a discount on Universal for 12/27-12/31, should I go ahead and book my trip through the Universal web site or should I wait and see if they come out with one of their deals like "Stay 4nights get tickets free"????
Do you think I should wait to book say in September or do it now????? I don't want to wait to long and not get a ressie!!!

Go ahead and book, but keep checking for deals. If you find a cheaper rate call the hotel and have them change your rate. Then insist on a confirmation email. If they dont send it (sometimes they dont) call them back until you get one. Make sure you print it out and bring it with you, because it has been shown repeatedly that they will mess this up.

i always book either the first week of janurary or february for my october stay.


then i call and modify my room rate when the discounts come out.

AAA discounts come out in the beginnng of the year. the AP discounts come out maybe 5 months prior.

it would be rare for the hotels to do much on discounts on the rooms during high seasonal time.

the super saver rates are already out.


new years eve is a big event at the parks.
