AAA discount room only or package?

Does AAA offer discounts on room only, packages, or both?

I booked our upcoming trip with AAA (travel agent) and it didn't seem like we got any huge discount until we qualified for FTP.

I'm wondering if people do their own arrangements and just request the AAA discount through Disney.

Anyone booked rooms only, tickets only by yourself or full packages with AAA travel agent? I'm wondering where the best savings are.

AAA travel agents are only authorized to discount the wdtc packages, if you want a AAA room only discount you have to call cro or sometimes you can get it thru the AAA website, but I rarely have luck with that. My AAA agent didn't even know you could book room only reservations (discount or not) at wdw.

I booked a AAA room only reservation through CRO for POR. The discount was 20%. Then I bought my park hopper passes at my local AAA for about a 5% discount.
