AAA Discount Question

Has anyone ever been asked to see the AAA membership card at check-in at Disneyland?

To buy tickets yes................our last package was through AAA and we had a paper with the package to give at the hotel only....the tickets came in the mail in a beautiful package with a map , tickets , coupons , and the hotel info.

Thank you. So if I book my package through AAA with my in-laws discount I will receive all the paperwork and probably will not be asked for the card? AAA has some pretty good deals to Disneyland.

What are the deals like? We were toying with the idea of renewing AAA for the discounts, we're planning a trip to DL at the end of June, so I'm wondering if it will be worth it You can send me a PM if you'd like! Thanks!

I renewed mine for the deals...........$40.00 to save more then $100.00 is well worth it plus the other perks , coupons , discounts and the road service.
My only worry is if they will use one persons card , but make the res in another name .........can they put you on as an associate member ......i think that is pretty cheap .

Sorry I forgot .......we got a much better deal on the room ............and looks like about $200.00 cheaper then through Disney.
Last year we used expedia and my dad fell ill and passed away and expedia would not allow us to change out tickets but I was told by Disney if I had booked through AAA or Disney they would have taken care of all the changes due to an emergency.
We recieved discounts for resturaunts, $10.00 game cards for ESPN, early entry one day, lots od downtown disney coupons and a lanyard and pin.

VIP seating for Alladdin and I know I am forgetting something else. Well worth it ! Their website for disney reservations is just like Disneys , just cheaper!

OOHHHHHH forgot the best perk FREE PARKING !!!!!!!!!!! It is included with the park hoper tickets , that alone almost pays for the membership!

I booked the package to GC for June and AAA was able to get the standard room and Disney did not have the standard room. Disney's quote was about 200.00 more for the downtown view. Also, the all day fast pass is included through AAA. I read that the AAA fast pass is different because you can have more than one fastpass at a time. Not sure though.

I don't know if this isn't supposed to be how it's done, but our last trip we purchased parkhoppers for two families with one person's AAA card. We got the stuff beforehand and were never asked to show our AAA membership at DL.

Does anyone know about other discounts that AAA members get in the parks? I think 10% off at Goofy's Kitchen, but I wonder if they offer that at other restaurants or stores.

Well, I checked out prices for when we're going (my AAA expired, but I was still able to get into the website and look at the deals) and while the packages are a deal, we found out that we can get a room cheaper at a near by hotel (The new Doubletree, 109 a night) and my dad can get the tickets at the CA resident discount for us, so we're going that route. The idea of staying on the property is exciting, but we're going to be now 10 days out there, so we're trying to save some money for other fun things I'm glad out was able to check before I forked over $70 for AAA again (I couldn't renew )

Thanks for the information though, we'll look into it again in the future, AAA does have some GREAT prices for Disney

Not only is the deal a heck of a lot better than the military deal, it also has extra perks they don't advertise. I had to call to find out what one of the things listed was because it was not in the package, but since apparently I booked when I did we get a mug that is refillable so many times each day we are there for free. . super happy with that!
