We are planning on a 10 night/11 day stay at Pop Century in August with the dining plan and 10 day premium passes with no expiration. We are a family of five so we are getting two rooms. I booked last month through WDW but I recently called AAA and can get the same package for $400 less! I think tomorrow I am going to cancel my original package and book with AAA. I am still hoping for a promotion or some kind of deal through Disney but if that fails at least I'll have the AAA discount. Might be worth it to some of you to check into these discounts is you are eligible. Thanks for letting me share.

We saved about $400 last year and we're saving about $400 this year, both times for 8 nights at the Poly, 9 day park hoppers, for 5 with DDP. In the summer and peak months, it's hard if not impossible to get any of those other discounts people talk about, so AAA is the way to go! The membership more than pays for itself!

This is exactly what we did a few months ago.... last year we had the free dining plan in Sept/Oct staying at the YC-saved $500 (5 nights with 2 adults and 2 kids).... this time we're going in August and I didn't want to risk having NO savings if the free dining is not offered again, so I booked through AAA. We're staying at the YC again but for 7 nights with the DDP and got just over $300 off through AAA. "IF" free dining comes out, I can nix the room portion of the savings and get $700 off rather than $300... but as long as I got SOMETHING off I'm happy :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Hi kldmom2000 - do you mind telling more about your discount. With my calculations we're only saving about $250.00 w/ AAA discount for 2 adults,1 child (5) 7 nights MMY and DDP, no hoppers or water parks. Any insight?

Sure-when I plugged it all in on the Disney website, the total for 7 nights at the YC, 7 day hopper no extra option, the DDP for 2 adults and 2 children, insurance was coming out at approx. $4230? Don't know what I would have gotten if I called CRO-but that's what the Disney website was showing me back in January??? I do know that our AAA rate came out to $3921 total so we went with that :thumbsup2

A savings of $250 is still great too!!! That's a lot of souveneirs!!! :)

Have a great trip!!!:goodvibes
