I am trying to figure out if it would be worth becoming a AAA Member for the Discount on Disney World Tickets. But, I wasn't sure if they still offered the discounted tickets. Does anyone know?

Thanks, Heather

I just checked my JanFeb 2005 AAA magazine and noticed it's listing Parkhoppers not the MagicYourWay(??), so I can't comment on ticket prices. I'm seeing just Parkhoppers, etc. online as well, so... I don't know. (I'm loads of help, aren't I? I tried!)

Personally, I think having AAA is worth it regardless of Walt Disney World discounts, but your mileage may vary.

Last year I booked my trip through AAA travel - I won't do it again. I was new to these boards then, and did not take the time to figure the cost of the trip by booking it separate. Next time I am going to buy an annual pass and book everything myself - and I think it will be cheaper. I am lucky - I get my AAA for Christmas every year from my sister!

I ended up cancelling my passes through AAA - they were no cheaper, and I wanted to have them well in advance of my trip (I had a nightmare of a time on my honeymoon with passes, so I am rather paranoid about them).

Good luck!

I just enrolled (convinced after hard deliberation) in AAA for some of the discounts. Very disappointed in the Disney tickets! Last week I learned there isn't a discount for anything less then a five day MYW pass. There isn't a greater reason to buy more days than you need to interchange between family members (which we've done for years) and pay the extra No Exp because of the new biometrics. I am gaining on hotel savings and I can't imagine the savings without the DVC! Those reasons must be worth it. Also saves on all other parks like universal or BGs parks.

It is almost $10-15 a ticket in advance (greater than 5 days) premium or not.

It would probably depend on your AAA office but just checking their website for my area showed that they charge more than Ticketmania does and they only sell the "premium" MYW tickets. And, I would need to add the "no expiry" option at Disney b/c my AAA doesn't sell them that way.
