AAA discount for last week in January

A friend of mine is going to WDW the last week of January. She is using AAA for her travel arrangements. I asked her if she qualified for the hopper/plus discount and she had not heard of it. I was wondering if maybe the AAA discount members may not quailfy for this. She is staying at the WL, but I'm not sure what view if any that she has requested. Any guidance will be appreciated.

Give her the code and have her call AAA and see if they can apply it. Some TA's aren't always aware of the codes. Also, it could be there were none available for her dates or resort.

It's my understanding that if you want to book a package @ Disney using AAA you have to book directly through AAA. You can book a "room only" with Disney using your AAA discount, but not a package. There's tons of threads on here giving more information as I might have misunderstood some of the posts. I, myself, used AAA for a room only discount & purchased my AP through AAA for a discount, too.

That's true, but also, I believe, she can call her travel agent(TA) at AAA and give her the code to see if the TA can apply the code or rebook her package using the code... whichever is a greater value.

If AAA can't get the package using the code for the ticket upgrade, she call can Disney and see if it is still available, if so... she can decide which is a greater value for her family... package with code XXX through Disney or AAA package or room only discount.

I am also traveling the last week in January.

I currently have a AAA package through my AAA TA with the hopper/plus discount. Originally I had a AAA room only discount through Disney, but it was cheaper to book the AAA package with the ticket upgrade than to use the AAA room discount and buy regular hoppers.

The price for the discounted package through AAA is the same price as it is through Disney, but since AAA offers some extra perks (closer parking, discount dining card, storytime with the princesses, etc.) I went with them.

I just put down a deposit for 3 nights stay at the end of Jan also. I also found their price to be exactly the same as the disney web price if I follow the right promotion link.

Here is the AAA amenities I got in the conformation mail

AAA AMENITIES - PLANET HOLLYWOOD MEAL VOUCHER (1 PER PKG)
MINIATURE GOLF VOUCHER (1 PER PKG) - AAA PREFERRED PARKING
PASS - AAA DIAMOND DISCOUNT CARD - DISCOUNT WATERCRAFT
VOUCHER - PHOTO PASS

It looks exactly the same as the standard Disney package except the preferred parking. I will not have a car so that does not matter to me. Where did you find about the discount dining card, storytime with the princesses, etc?
