AAA Diamond Parking...Is it really a diamond, or a CZ?

How close is the AAA parking really? Our AAA rep gave us a pass and I just wondered if it saves a lot of walking (or a tram ride at MK). Don't want DD5 whining she's tired the first 5 minutes she's there !

And on a separate note, what am I doing up this early on the boards? Definitely an addiction !

We had AAA Diamond pass last year. I dont think it was any better in any park except EPCOT. You have to remember that the tram doesnt go to your lot. At AK my DH went to get the car while we waited because it was so stinkin hot and we parked close enough to not use a tram, but far enough away that it was a hike. My thought is...dont even bother with it. In some places, it's rather difficult to find the correct lot. Just park with the rest of the crowd, and use the tram...it's much better. I used it this past weekend at the MK lot and it was right next to the disabled lot. We didn't walk too far and it was well worth the time we saved by not riding the bus. It might not be worth it though on busy days. There are CM's around though to direct you. I will use it again.

On busy days it isn't worth it. We had one and tried to use it at MK, and the diamond lot was full, so we ended up having to turn around and park back with the crowd anyway!

I would agree that the best one seems to be EPCOT! Especially if you get there early enough. MK is good if you get there right away, AK and MGM are a bit of a hike.

Basically what it comes down to is if you are concerned about the walk get there REALLY early, or don't use the pass. Just my two cents.

For us it's a CZ. One of DD's favorite "rides" is the parking lot tram.

We had a AAA Diamond Parking Pass last year. First day we used it at EPCOT we arrived just as the parking lot was opening in the morning (we arriving early for the Segway Around the World Tour). The booth attendant told us to follow the x-color line to the AAA lot (can't remember what color it was). Anyways, when we got up to the CM in the parking lot they told us to just park with everyone else since it didn't make sense to drive to the AAA spots.

I don't know if the CM was just having a bad morning and didn't want to help us, or if it's just as close to walk from the first row of "normal" parking if you arrive early?

We did use it the next day at AK. The lot was right of the main entrance and a little bit of a walk. Didn't think we saved much time by using it.
