~A XMAS STORY~decorations, crowds, pixies..AND A BLOODY NOSE~ACTUAL UPDATE 11/9 p190

Your house looks so pretty covered in snow, Dawn!:lovestruc I totally get why southerners get so excited over the snow. Now, just understand why us northeasterners don't though - when it falls from the sky just about every day, it gets old REAL fast!;)

Nice pooping picture, btw!

11-10.jpg

That gerbil/hamster creature freaks me out!

Cute tshirt! I bought one with Maleficiant on it that is bedazzled and says: "Girls Rule"!:thumbsup2

Great Fantasmic shots! I can't believe how crowded it was! And how cold was it? We typically don't see it when we're there in Dec. because our butts get cold pretty quick from sitting on those metal benches!

I enjoyed your update. I got to see Fantasmic for the first time in December. I really liked it a lot. My six year old son was scared of it. My husband took him out, so he didn't get to see it. But, my daughter and I really enjoyed it.

That picture of Chris and Luke is just sweet! Chris looks so gruff and tough with his tatoos and piercings, but to see him with Luke is just too sweet. He loves that boy. I love seeing fathers and sons that way.

dog pooping in the snow priceless, i love how you seem like you are so worried that he was going to poop in the snow.
:goodvibes

and you sound exactly like my cousins that lived in marietta GA..now they live on the east coast

great updates, just a tip if you go back and dont want to wait for the line to get into the animation academy, go in through the exit where the gift shop is and you scan skip the pre show if you are on a time restraint.

Great update! The video brought back so many memories - I haven't seen Fantasmic since 2005 but can't wait to see it again this summer to bring my little cousin to see it :goodvibes: Thanks for sharing!

now many of you have asked me how i think your kids would do with this show. so i'm posting 90% of it here for you. it's not the whole thing but it's close!

Wow you read my mind! I was just thinking this same question as it went to the next post. And you are good...your read my mind yesterday before I even read the installment and before I even knew I was going to ask that question.:rotfl2:

I don't have sound on my computer at work so I will have to watch your fantasmic videos sometime at home. My newphew will be 3.5 yr old and my son will be 16 mos...so I will have to see how scary it is...if it is too scary then I guess we adults will have to seperate and see the show at different times bc I did not get to see it on my last trip and I will see it this time!

just finished the rest of the report. Last time I went roller skating...I was in 6th grade. I fell down and fell right in the walkway to get in. They told me to move...I said I would if I could. Here I sprained my wrist. Last time I went skating...not going to do that again and actually break something. That and I am not that coordinated...so that could have been part of the problem.

ray knows the moves to this part and does them when he watches it at home.

OH MY GOSH........my DH does too!!! It cracks me up every time! :lmao:

listen for ray singing here. ISN'T THAT THE CUTEST THING EVER???? :lovestruc and then he and anna start singing together during snow white's, "some day my prince will come". it was so funny! one of those moments from the trip that i really remember vividly. :goodvibes

Too funny..........it's little moments like this that truly make your trip! :goodvibes

Loved the update! Thanks for posting the Fantasmic videos, its so exciting to watch and count down the days until I'll actually watch it in person! The arena is INSANELY crowded, holy cow :scared: And Ray is just great with his singing skills to the music...don't you just get so excited when he's actually enjoying something Disney related? I know I do when my BF actually shows some Disney interest!

:cool1: Awesome update Dawn! The videos are great too. I can't wait wait wait to see F! again. Last trip that was one of our best nights; good friends, fun show, and yummy treats. :cloud9:

I'm all caught up! Your snow days are priceless! We had another one today. We didn't close the schools, though. :rotfl2: I love the way the dogs didn't know what to do!

It's great you got to see Fantasmic again. We didn't see it last trip - or at DL either. I guess its time to see it. I love seeing the pics of Chris and Luke - so sweet together!:lovestruc

Yayyy, Fantasmic!!! We love Fantasmic too! Although I find it a bit scary! It would have terrified me if I was little, I think. We saw it in 2006 too, but I don't remember it being so scary!

Those Bolt characters kind of freak me out a bit too! Something about them looks a bit creepy. Like that big evil bunny in Donnie Darko, or something. Hehee, that's horrible. They're not that bad, but you know what I mean!! (I hope!)

Another fun chapter from Dawn!! :cheer2:

AW I love the picture of Ray smiling at Fantasmic. :goodvibes

me too. ;)

OH MY GAWHHHHH!!!!
Why in the world did my mother-in-law go to Disney and not tell me!!!!:rotfl2:

:lmao: you are crazy!

I love the Fox and the Hound!!!!! That was my very first Disney movie I saw in a theater!!!!! :lovestruc

i love that movie too. i cry every time i see it. the story of ray seeing it for the first time is cute. we were dating. i was 18 and he was 22. we both worked as servers in a restaurant in downtown nashville. on weekends we'd work late on saturdays and then have to be there early on sundays for sunday brunch service. well, gallatin, the little town we both lived in, was like 40 minutes from downtown. my dad lived like 15 minutes away, so we'd stay with him on saturday nights so we wouldn't have to drive so far. ray would sleep in my room and i'd sleep with my sister. ray has occasional insomnia and one night he couldn't sleep. so he went into my dad's wreck room (which is where we kept all the kiddie movies) and the only thing he could find to watch were my little sister and brother's disney movies (they were 8 and 11 at the time). so he watched "the fox and the hound" because he'd never seen it. the next morning he went and bought a sunday paper and was looking at the classifieds. i asked him why and he said, "because i gotta get me a HOUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND dog!" :goodvibes we went that day after work and bought our first beagle hound for $40. we named her lucy and ray's mom still has her to this day!

I love the shirt you bought.:lovestruc Purple is my color. I would have put the picture here but I haven't quite figured out how to do that yet. I am an annoying new Diser.:sad2: And HOLY COW I can't believe how many people can fit in there to watch the show!!! Is it like a round arena or something?

thanks! to post a picture you just have to get an account on a photo-hosting website. i use photobucket.com. you upload the picture there and then they will give you three codes. for the disboards, you use the one at the bottom that starts with . copy and paste that code here and your picture will show up!

the arena is sort of a half circle. it can hold LOTS of people!!! there is water in front of the seats and then the stage is on the opposite side.
Maybe they had problems with RNR and had it stopped, causing the fp lane to back up?:confused3

I love Fantasmic! I was really bummed that it was only on 2 times when we were there....it made it hard to schedule in!
maybe. i love that ride but i don't love it that much - neither of us wanted to wait. it stinks that they no longer show fantasmic every night. i guess the economy is hitting disney too!
Great fantasmic pictures.
thanks!

thanks! oh, i totally understand why you guys get sick of snow! i probably would too. so funny that you complimented my pooping picture. :lmao:

yeah, that hamster guy is kinda creepy, huh? it was pretty cold that night. i'm thinking about 40 degrees. i remember being really cold when we left the park. that's ray's favorite nighttime show so we have to see it!

thanks for the tip! :thumbsup2

thanks! i hope you guys get to see it. you know they don't show it every night now, right? it stinks but i guess they're trying to save money.

i must have ESPN!!!!! just a little joke. :rotfl2:

i don't think your 16-month-old would even really "get" that it's scary. of course i don't know him and every kid's different. the 3yo might be a different story - just depends. be sure to check the schedule because they no longer show it every night like they used to.

i hate that you fell and sprained your wrist! my dad broke his wrist once skating and it was because he was chasing me. i felt really bad. :guilty:

OH MY GOSH........my DH does too!!! It cracks me up every time! :lmao:

Too funny..........it's little moments like this that truly make your trip! :goodvibes

isn't it so cute when your DH does the mickey moves???? i just love it when ray does it! :goodvibes

great update--we didn't see Fantasmic last August so your videos were so enoyable:thumbsup2

thanks! glad you enjoyed them.

almost all our snow is gone. all that's left is just right along my fence where the sun doesn't shine. tomorrow it's supposed to be 70 degrees so it will be gone then!

i love fantasmic - hope you guys get to see it next trip!

Yayyy, Fantasmic!!! We love Fantasmic too! Although I find it a bit scary! It would have terrified me if I was little, I think. We saw it in 2006 too, but I don't remember it being so scary!

i love fantasmic - i love anything with good versus evil and with lots of drama! i see what you're saying about the bolt characters. i think it's the cat and the hamster - they're just kind of freaky-looking! :upsidedow

Loved the videos of the dogs in the snow and the one of Ray sliding down the driveway.

I walk to wheaton terriers and they get those snow balls all the time. As long as you let them melt off they are fine.

Thank you for telling us what snow cream is, I have never heard of.

Now the Disney part.

Great update and pics.

that long for RNRC sounded crazy.

Great pics and video

Great update, as usual.

Luke does look like he is enjoying the Bolt characters. I'm not sure that Brooklynn knows much about them yet. At least, I haven't heard her say their names. Give her time, though, and she'll know all about them.

We love Fantasmic! I was thinking that my friend and I would not see it when we go, because HS is our first day, and I know we'll be zonked from a 6:30 flight. Well, she will be, I'm sure. I'd be up for staying for Fantasmic, of course, but I also want her to be able to get up and moving early the next morning, so it may not happen. We'll just have to make that call when the time comes. I may stay and watch it so I can film some for Jill and Brooklynn, even if Kay decides she needs to go on back to the room. That's the beauty of using the Disney bus system! She can go and I can stay and everyone is happy.

I confess to getting chills and a big old smile, too, when good overcomes evil! When the boat comes out and everyone is happily waving, I feel about five instead of fifty.

That's a neat Fox and the Hound picture. Love that movie, too! (Let's be honest, I love them all.) It's cute that Ray was cultivating his Disney love all that long ago. :)
