~A XMAS STORY~decorations, crowds, pixies..AND A BLOODY NOSE~ACTUAL UPDATE 11/9 p190

Haha, I love seeing Luke's take on things. I can hear him yelling now for the good guy!

That picture of Walt's plane with the sun peeking through is so pretty! :goodvibes

Another great update! The husband story was too funny! Something always happens when we try to see Disney shows, parades, fireworks... people always saunter up twenty-minute after us and try to squeeze their way in  The pictures of Luke are too cute, I love how amazed he looks! :goodvibes I'm definitely looking forward to more. Good luck getting all your work done!

Love the L!M!A! show pictures! I love seeing Luke's take on it all while he experiences it, he's so cute. How funny that he made a friend!

Your 2 husband story is hilarious  I'm sure you were annoying that man just by sitting there and with your response to his rudeness and stupidity so I'm glad you stayed there. You can tell he's not a nice man just by looking at him lol

Great shot of Walt's plane! I never knew that was there.

I love what you said to Mr. Happy seat!:lmao:

:rotfl2:

That would be awesome!!! I am a side holder at first!!!:rotfl2:

that's okay! i will let you know if we go again.

I love Luke's face in all of these pictures. Makes me think my little guy might like it. We did it last in '06...he was just 8 months old then.

Your "friend" looks so happy! What a bunghole! Geez. Sounds like the old woman at the MVMCP parade. :rotfl2: There's plenty of room for all of us! (And a woman needs her slushy/churro)

I think I might be trying some of tha fancy mac n cheese! Looks good. I hope their escargot is good. Looks a little green in the pics I've seen.

I need to do an update but I am feeling so lazy.

yeah, i bet he'd love it! luke definitely did. about my "friend".....i know! get over yourself, dude!!! and you're right - a woman needs her slushie! especially the banana one. i've never had escargot so i can't tell ya how theirs is.

Oh, that LMA looks so fun! :thumbsup2 I think DH will enjoy the explosions more than I will, but we haven't seen it before and I'm looking forward to it in March! I guess we'll have to plan a longer day though. Don't they have the shows only in the afternoon? I love seeing Luke with Pluto - he is so cute, and the same age as by DGS!

i think they have 2 shows but i'm not sure of the exact times. but i do know that they only show it twice a day. the thing about DHS is you pretty much have to pick what you DEFINITELY want to do and which time you want to do it and sort of fill in the gaps in between because there are so many shows!

It's so nice that you made a friend, Dawn! He looks so friendly! :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I must make an effort to take my boys to see LMA -- they would love all the car chases and explosions -- and I could get one of those banana slushies you are always raving about. :thumbsup2

yeah, he was a joy to be around. i bet your boys would definitely love the show! if only they'd add rum to those banana slushies. :rolleyes1

Loved the update, sorry you are so swamped at work, I know how you feel.
LOVED Luke's faces in all of those pictures, he looked like he was super into the show, what a perfect show for boys and there aren't too many of those on property, I guess that's why my Luke loes Hollywood Studio's so much between that and Indiana Jones (wonder if you guys will make it to that show later?). That is so rude of that guy, I can't stand it when people do that, love your "actually I do" comment though:rotfl:
Can't wait for more!
Lesley

i really shouldn't complain - i'm lucky to even have a job in this economy and the fact that i'm busy is unheard of right now in our industry. so i'm very lucky. i knew we had to see that show because if not i'd feel guilty that luke didn't get to see it! i knew he'd love it. i'll go ahead and tell you, we didn't make it by indiana jones that day. by the time we got out of LMA it was like 4:45. fantasmic was at 7:00 that night and so we didn't have much time before we had to head that way. it's impossible to get everything in at DHS in one day, especially when they close at 8:00!!!

Dawn your "friend" was something else, glad you said what you did - jerk that he is. I cannot wait for my boys to see this. I think they are going to love it.

yeah, he was such a joy. i bet your boys will LOVE this! it really is a cool show.

DS will let me read anything to him...as long as there are fun pictures! I've been paying close attention to all the details you throw in about Luke. Greyson will be the same age at the time we go so it is helpful in getting an idea about what to expect. Kids are all different, but it doesn't hurt to prepare for the possibilities! Thanks for the recommendation! I've been leaning towards sci-fi,but I flip flop depending on the day:lmao: We are bringing our parents with us( big thank you to them for all they do) so I am trying really hard to find all the fun, unique restaurants and just other magical ideas. DH and I want this to be a trip none of us ever forget!

that's so cute! luke's 4th birthday was last june so he was exactly 4-and-a-half when we went. i bet you guys will have such a great trip! it sounds like you're on top of everything. i'm by no means an expert but i've been 5 times in the last 2 years and i've helped lots of people with their trips, so feel free to ask me anything!

You guys sat exactly where we did last trip! I like how you can feel the heat from the flames when the things explode. Do they have the LMA entrance/walkway covered yet? Last time, there were like a thousand people in line for 20-30 mins in the hot sun...and that was in October! Hot sun + cramped body heat = ugh. Older people shouldn't go to WDW if they're gonna be grumpy and pushy. Hello! It's the happiest place on earth! :headache:

it seems like we were walking under a covering but i'm not positive. luckily we didn't have to stand in any sun that day. but even if we did, being that it was like 50 degrees, it probably would've felt nice! i hear you on being grumpy.....my mantra is FEEL THE MAGIC, DAMN YOU!

Luke's expressions are priceless! He just takes everything in. Sorry you are so busy at work. I guess it is better than having nothing to though huh? Great update. Love reading them!!!

oh, yes, definitely better! like i was telling lesley above, i'm very lucky to be as busy as i am right now! some court reporters around here are really slow right now and when we don't work, we don't get paid!

Love Luke's facial expressions during the show. He is definately a boy!!! So, I guess that when that guy would've asked me if I had two husbands, I would've said, "no, he's just a fat a**" JERK!!! I'm glad you stuck up for yourself! You go girl!!!

yes, he definitely IS!!! so funny about what you would've said to that guy! :rotfl: oh, there is no problem with me sticking up for myself. one thing i'm always trying to improve on is keeping my mouth shut. i need to choose my battles. but i'm getting better!

Looks like you girls had so much fun roller skating! It's been years since I've done that!

Great update! I think the Stunt show is a guys kinda attraction. It doesn't do too much for me either. At least you made a friend! haha!

we did! it was so much fun. i hope we do it again soon! yeah, i like the show but seeing it once is enough for me. but i knew that luke would really love it and i knew ray wouldn't mind seeing it again.

Haha, I love seeing Luke's take on things. I can hear him yelling now for the good guy!

That picture of Walt's plane with the sun peeking through is so pretty! :goodvibes

he's so cute! he was really yelling and getting into the show. i love that picture of the plane!

thanks! i don't know what is with people. it just takes a lot of nerve and i will never have it. i just don't have the rudeness gene and i definitely don't have the tolerance for it!

Great shot of Walt's plane! I never knew that was there.

somehow i missed you! thanks. luke is such a cutie. i wonder what he and his little friend were talking about? i wasn't about to move away from that guy and give him the satisfaction of knowing he ticked me off. yeah, walt's plane is hidden back there. when i remembered it being there i told anna and we had stop and take a picture, to which both of our husbands rolled their eyes at us....again. :rotfl:

Great pictures!
Makes me feel like we were just there.

Oh yeah, we were just there.

I like it when you can get a good 'falling man' picture. I got a pretty good one this time, and it's just so funny to see the man suspended in mid-air for eternity when you look back at the pictures.

Luke's expressions are just testimony to why I love take my bunch to Disney World. I love watching them just having fun!

We have eye-rollers in our crew, too.
But you know what, they wouldn't have us any other way.
If they couldn't make fun of us, it wouldn't be nearly as much fun for them.

Luke is a doll. :cutie: And I must say, you photograph very well. :thumbsup2 Can't wait to see how Flat Dawn does. ;)

I'm finally caught up again :goodvibes Your skating pictures were awesome!

I love what you said to that rude old guy. :rotfl2: I definitely would not have come up with that response so quickly -- it would be one of those things that I'd think about hours later and be mad for not thinking of right then. Your pictures from the show are awesome. I tried to get the falling man but I just missed him.

Sorry you are so swamped with work -- I hope it gets better soon.

Luke is too adorable. ;)

Never had a banana slush or a churrio, they sound great. :)

What a rude man, some guests really need to learn how to behave. He obviously didn't get his daily dose of WDW pixie dust that day. :confused3 What a grump!

Glad to hear you are busy.....it's a good thing remember. :thumbsup2

Just got to sit with Brooklynn and read your skating update and your LMA report. She has a question and a comment.

When she saw the LMA pics she said she will live there in 20 months at 8:30 o'clock.

When she saw the pictures of you giving the rose to Anna she asked "Why is Dawn eatin that flower? She is a silly girl!"

Just thought I would give you the perspective from a toddler.

all caught up.

Roller skating looks like fun. Have not done that in 25 years.

great update and pics.

good for you sticking up to the man. You have 2 husbands. :rotfl2:

Mmmm, where are the banana slushies sold? That sounds delish! :goodvibes

Luke is a a riot! Every update he's always doing something to make us laugh. Haha, it's great.

Looks like LMA was a a hit! Sorry that grumpy old man had to say something, but luckily you didn't let it get to you!

Such a cool dude!:cool2: My goodness - he's seriously too cute!

So, from a girl's point of view, how is LMA? We've never seen it and I'm always thinking we should see every show at Disney at least once. But my girls are girly-girls; race cars, explosions, and fire are not their idea of a good time. Is it worth checking out?

Fantastic photos of Luke, I've never thought of taking photos of the kids when they watch stuff, they're seriously cute :goodvibes

i bought a bottle of rose regale today (after reading kat's TR!) and it's very yummy! i was feeling very disney-esque today (really just missing it) and so i added a disney touch.....check it out!

cool, huh? ray thinks i'm a nerd.

if only i was REALLY sitting in italy (that is, the italy pavilion at epcot, of course! although i would definitely not pass up the real thing!!!), drinking this and watching illuminations right now!

what's funny is that i'm eating the other half of the hamburger i had earlier today. rose regale and a hamburger......now that's some serious class. :snooty: :rotfl2:

i'm getting ready to upload some vids so hopefully i will have an update tomorrow!

Great pictures!

it is so much fun to watch others' expressions at disney world - i just love sharing it with everyone! i agree about the eye-rollers. if ray didn't have to roll his eyes at me then he wouldn't love me as much.

Luke is a doll. :cutie: And I must say, you photograph very well. :thumbsup2 Can't wait to see how Flat Dawn does. ;)

wow....thanks! i'll take that compliment and stick it in my back pocket. my mama always told me never to turn down a compliment. i can't wait to see flat dawn, too. although i have been practicing squishing the real dawn into a suitcase and having said suitcase ready for you to pick up during your layover in atlanta on your way to disney in may.

I'm finally caught up again :goodvibes Your skating pictures were awesome!

I love what you said to that rude old guy. :rotfl2: I definitely would not have come up with that response so quickly -- it would be one of those things that I'd think about hours later and be mad for not thinking of right then. Sorry you are so swamped with work -- I hope it gets better soon.

thanks! well, unfortunately for those around me, i always tend to just say what's on my mind. i'm learning as i get older that that's not such a good thing sometimes!

Luke is too adorable. ;)

yes, banana slushies and churros are so good! now i will admit that the mexican restaurant near my house has better churros than disney does. but it's bound to happen sometimes - they can't be the best at everything! i hope i made that guy's day better by providing him with some pixie dust.....or maybe a little sarcasm instead.

OMG...that was the cutest thing EVER! i'm very interested to know if brooklynn really did live at LMA in 20 minutes at 8:30 o'clock. you'll have to keep me updated on that one! and i'm SO FLATTERED that brooklynn knows my name!!!!!! seriously. that's just too cute! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Loved th LMA pix !! This is Kyle's favorite show, he loves it!

thanks! it's definitely a guy's show!

all caught up.

Roller skating looks like fun. Have not done that in 25 years.

great update and pics.

good for you sticking up to the man. You have 2 husbands. :rotfl2:

thanks! well, technically we were waiting on 2 husband - it's just that they both weren't mine. but he didn't have to know the details. ;)

Mmmm, where are the banana slushies sold? That sounds delish! :goodvibes

Luke is a a riot! Every update he's always doing something to make us laugh. Haha, it's great.

Looks like LMA was a a hit! Sorry that grumpy old man had to say something, but luckily you didn't let it get to you!

they are at herbie's drive-in - it's a little kiosk right outside of LMA. luke is definitely a comedian. he has anna's personality - she's always being silly too!

Is it worth checking out?

he is a SUPER cool dude! we went over to their house earlier today to get some baby stuff for my little brother (his girlfriend is having a baby that's due any day now) that anna is giving to him and luke said, "ray's a dork," as ray walked by. :rotfl2: honestly, LMA is a really cool show but it's nothing i HAVE to see. if you have time one day while you're there, do it. but if there's something else you'd rather be doing, don't. like you said, it's nice to be able to see everything at disney at least once and i'm sure it won't be there forever. the stunt driving is amazing and there's some really cool tricks they do that make you literally gasp out loud.

I'm joining in - I'm about half way through the first day!

thanks so much for reading!!!

Fantastic photos of Luke, I've never thought of taking photos of the kids when they watch stuff, they're seriously cute :goodvibes

oh, that's my favorite! i don't even have any kids and i love watching them take everything in, especially something they're interested in. my favorite thing to do in the haunted mansion is to pick a younger kid (like 3 or 4 years old) in the stretching room and just watch their face. they're so funny!
