A WONDERful 'crew boat' trip to Alaska! (Update 1/21/15)

That is a tough decision! I wouldn't want to miss the train ride portion of the trip, though!

We rented a car in Juneau (working on that day now ) and I'm so glad we did!

Well, I will just have to wait for your Juneau report! That might help me in our decision. My husband is leaning towards the train because he is quite a train junkie, lol!

It was really so neat and unlike anything we will ever see here in the South! That day was a perfect example of why striking out on your own can be so great.

I am so glad you're finding it useful. Reading the reports and tips on this site enhanced our trip by about 1000%!! It really would have been a different vacation without it!

We are going to be on The Wonder this coming June and are so excited! We have cruised before, but never on Disney. I will be turning 50 while on board. This is my 1st time on the disboards and found your trip report, what a wonderful writer you are and Allen is a fantastic photographer! Thank you so much for doing this! Just found your TR and can't thank you enough for all the tips and comments. DW and I will celebrate our 33rd on the 8/24/15 cruise. We are still uncertain about our excursions but you've given us a lot to think about. Did you meet anyone that did the helicopter/glacier/dog sled tour in Skagway? It will be just the two of us and we REALLY want to do this. We thought about doing it in Juneau but if the weather is bad, we miss our chance. There are only a few that offer this in Skagway but if the weather is bad there, at least there is a slight chance we could rebook for Juneau the next day. Thanks again for your great TR. I'm looking forward to the fantastic finish!
