A WONDERful 'crew boat' trip to Alaska! (Update 1/21/15)

We are going next May to Alaska on the members cruise. I have already booked 4 nights pre-cruise at the Pan Pacific, thanks for confirming this choice, that it is worth the money, just to see the Wonder, outside of your room on embarkation morning. I know that I, too, will be up early to see her in the harbor.

You are going to love the Pan! Are you flying out of YVR after the cruise? If so, I really recommend staying the night before at the Fairmont Airport. I'll write all about it in the Trip Report, but WOW it is nice and so convenient!

Loving reliving our trip through you! It is too funny how much our early days tracked with yours. Sadly we got stuck waiting in LA for the late plane, the Pan sent us to Rogue for dinner. We were likely at the aquarium the same time. Same PAT. Looks like you were directly opposite to our spot for the sail off. We had the same dining rotation. DS also was not completely in love with the Lab and also mentioned people being mean..I have no more insight then you on that subject, but he also loved the club. Looking forward to following the next installments...

I am thoroughly enjoying your report. For Skagway, I am torn between renting a car and driving to Emerald Lake on our own (with the help of Murray's Guide) or booking with Chilkoot. We really want to make sure that we can stop and get some great photos!

That is a tough decision! I wouldn't want to miss the train ride portion of the trip, though!

We rented a car in Juneau (working on that day now ) and I'm so glad we did!
