A woman was robbed of her x-box

A woman stayed up all night to get the x-box for her son. She was followed home, a gun pointed at her head and robbed of it.

I just don't get it. It's a game. I don't understand staying up all night, I don't understand why many people can't wait and I really don't understand why it's so important that someone would rob someone over it.

Of course, I don't understand theives anyway.
