A WISH Journal: 6 Month Countdown to My Happy Place!

On Vacation last week and ended up with a killer cold!!:sick::sick:

UGH!

Finally hit the gym last night after not going for a couple of weeks and weighed myself and still EXACTLY the same as when I started this Journal in early June.:mad: ARGH!!!!

Geez. And that with even all the miles of walking up and down hills on vacation a couple of weeks ago. It was San Fran, so you KNOW there were hills. I didn't take public transportation anywhere, other than 2 late night cabs back to the hotel.

When I came back from vaca, I saw my doc to get the results of my physical, bloodwork, the whole drill. The doc even wants me to loose a few pounds before they will redo my bloodwork. :scared: Thanks, like I already didn't know that.

I explained my plateau situation (see first post) and he sort of dismissed it and told me to cut out meat (I assume red, not lean), cheese and fat. Except, I already did that quite some time ago and kinda just shrugged. I don't think he believed me.

Annoying! And very frustrating. I don't think he's :listen: very well.

I'm not entirely sure what I will do, but I'll continue on with eating more salad than chicken and see what that does. I couldn't wait to get out of the office; as soon as I arrive, I want to leave! LOL!!

Anyway, at the gym last night:
- 45 minutes on the treadmill (3 miles) alternating running and walking and changing the incline.
- 20 minutes (2 miles) on the glute/cardio machine thingie, going forward and backward for 5 minutes internvals.

For Food:
lunch - cottage cheese with pineapple, box 'o raisins.
apple on the way to the gym
dinner - big ol salad with romaine and spinach, chicken, pineapple, almonds with fat free italian dressing and crystal light drink

I'm going to try to maintain focus, but it is such a letdown not to see ANY results at all! :sad2: I know I'm a bit stressed, so I'm wondering whether there's any physical reason, which, of course, stresses me a little more.

On the bright side, I still have my trip in December, my PTR link is in my sig. So, that, at least, alleviates all the other stuff.

Thanks for reading! If anyone is actually out there! :goodvibes

It has been a few weeks since my last post. I have been trying to de-stress about not losing anything recently.

I went to the gym last night and nothin' again. :sad2:

On the bright side, I've not gone up in recent months, so that's a good thing, but not to loose anything at all is really a :headache::headache:.

I was on the treadmill for 45 minutes last night, running, walking and doing the inclines, doing 3 miles. I then hopped on the ellipitcal for 20 minutes, going backwards and forewards, doing 2 miles.

I had yogurt for lunch and made myself some eggs for dinner. I was so tired that I headed off to bed at 9:30pm! :lmao:

I gots myself back to the gym last night! Whoo! :rotfl:

I did just over 30 minutes on the ellipitcal, going forward and reverse in 5 minutes intervals. I then took a Total Body Conditioning class for 60 minutes. Plus I walked for 15 minutes during lunch = 105 minutes of activity. That's pretty good. :thumbsup2

Of course, we did alot of leg work at the class, so now I'm feeling it today. Which is a good thing, I guess.

My food intake was decent...had yogurt for breakfast, PB&J for lunch (with water, of course) and a big ol' salad for dinner.

Between lunch, dinner and gym, I definitely drank enough water and water-like liquids.

I was so tired, after my shower, I just went to bed. Even with a wet head! :lmao: I didn't even contemplate doing the yardwork, I was supposed to do over the weekend.

Ok, off to a new day!

Hmmm...maybe I didn't post this in the right place? Ah well....

Anyways, I checked the scale yesterday at the gym - yes, I know, one is not supposed to do that... - and it says I lost 2 pounds from the last time I checked!!! :yay::yay:

From this journal, I checked on 8/10, so 16 days, 2 pounds! Lord!

So, at the gym yesterday, I did 45 minutes on the treadmill -- running/walking/inclining, completing a little over 3 miles. Then I jumped on the ellpitcal doing 3 miles in about 22 minutes, going fwd and backwards in 5 minutes intervals.

On Monday, I also went and did the circuit for 30 minutes, then cooldown for 5 minutes, then abs for 5 minutes. I hopped into the saunda for 30-35 minutes and headed home. This in addition to the 20 minutes I walked during lunch.

On Sunday, I did about 90 minutes of some grueling yardwork. Ugh.

90 minutes is usually my limit for exercize as I'm just exhausted by that point, so I'm going to try to push beyond it and see how I do.

Maybe the trick for me is to get in more saunas?? :confused3

For my ongoing saga....

I did try a new treadmill workout of trying to keep running for a full 60 minutes and I did it! :yay: I went as high as 7 mph and a low of 4.5 mph. I then got my bod in the sauna. Ahhhhh.....

I did the new kickbox cardio class a few days later and that kicked my butt.

Here I am a few days after that and my entire back aches. I think I overdid it at the gym or slept a weird way.

At this writing, I've also been up for almost a day since I never made it to sleep last night. Argh.

I'm sort of like this....:surfweb:

We'll see what happens this week! :goodvibes

Oh yeah, 87 more days!!!
