A Wish Granted - One Magical Morning Photopass PICS! 10/12

Wow. This report answers the question "What's so special about Disney?"

And may I add, Maroo, that you are an amazing person and I have loads of respect for you. :flower3:

Oh, I can't wait to see what happens next. This is all just so amazing. One of my friends from work was there at the same time. Now that I know what day this was, I'll ask her if she saw you all.

Matt1026, thank you for allowing Maroo to share your very special little boy and family's special time with us.

Look at those boys checking out that crowd! What a wonderful day for all of you!

As I was looking at the picture of Mickey with his arms spread wide, I started crying. Then as I was reading each post saying the same thing, I would cry over and over. Now I am crying today too. Maroo, what memories you have!!!!

oh WOW! Opening Ceremony! Wow! Just wow!

I'd like to expand upon that but am left with.

WOW!

Oh my goodness! The pictures with all the characters has me in tears too! Thank you for sharing these memories with us. :goodvibes

Family of the day! Oh this has to be a day Lucas will never forget! Absolutely amazing...

I'm kicking myself, because we were at Epcot that morning and MK that afternoon. I could have witnessed it myself! LOL

I just KNEW where this was headed when I saw the pic of all the characters!

What happened next…Was pure Disney magic. Still gives me chills.

When we walked out of the house…we saw Mickey. Waving at US.

Then he bent over.

Opened his arms.

And the boys ran into Mickey’s arms.

Does it get any better than this????

Check out all of these characters! Mickey, Chip and Dale, Pluto, Donald and Daisy, Snow White, Mary Poppins, Aladdin and Jasmine, Alice and the White Rabbit.

All to meet Lucas and Alex!! :grouphug:

I was overcome. In tears. Ok, I was bawling!! Daisy was so sweet.

We got a group photo with everyone!!

Ok, now you have me in tears! And it hurts because I am sick, but this was awesome! :thumbsup2

And how great that Daisy came to comfort you when you were crying, even if it was happy tears! :goodvibes

OMG. All.....choked.......up......... Tears......streaming.....down.....face. Lovin' this. So much. :thumbsup2 What a special day. :cloud9:

This is seriously the most amazing single day TR ever! A true dream come true in every aspect! Maroo, I'm so glad you were able to enjoy the magic with the family instead of just photographing it. It couldn't have happened without your kindness and generosity and you deserved every minute of it!

I agree that gosh the pictures capture the characters being so like their characters. Walking and talking with them were they always walking and moving their arms and things like that? Very cool

:yay::woohoo: for being THAT family :cheer2::banana: That is so amazingly cool.

This is truly a trip to not be forgotten and a true Wish come true. I'm so glad Lucas got such a nice trip.

Hope you are feeling better Mary, can't wait to read more

Let's see...were you right? :)

Yep.

This is all SO special. And so incredible for you to experience this magic with them. Wow!

Someone earlier said that it was fun to see Snow White being so very Snow White in that pic. But I think Mary and Alice are spot on in their character as well!!! How cool!

What an awesome view that must have been for you all from the train up there on the platform!

I can hardly believe how Providential it was for you to meet up with them TWICE more during the week! Amazing!

I'd say a lifelong friendship was cemented for you and Lucas' family. Congratulations, those are very rare!

I must be a little slow because I didn't realize what was going to happen until Mary told us! :lmao:

BTW, Maroo, DisneyMom5 is my real-life friend and she used to be my next door neighbor! She's wonderful!

Just such a fantastic story. So much detail and effort to make each moment so special and something for the entire family to remember.

At this point, we were running pretty “late” – they wanted us to be able to spend some time by ourselves in Mickey’s house and Minnie’s house!

This was really, really cool – but we really rushed through this! Which was fine!

This was my first time in YEARS to be in Mickey’s house and Minnie’s house. And we went through so fast, that I am not even sure what we saw. But I can tell you it was really cool to be in there by ourselves!

Here are some pics…

And what comes next.... :cloud9:

The Family of the Day!

Ok, that did it. I was strong up until this post, but seeing Mickey open his arms up to those two boys, and having them run into them, has me boo-hooing! :sad1: Happy tears, though. That is completely magical.:cloud9:

Following the awesome surprise character interaction...they led us…with all of the characters…to the train. WE were going to ride in the train! To the front of the park…….

Have you guys seen the opening ceremonies at the Magic Kingdom?

Lucas and his family – were going to get to be THAT FAMILY! The family that opens the whole park!!!!

party:

All of the characters got together and took their places on the train.

We were told by the coordinator that we would board the train with Mickey, stay on the train, even though it will stop for about 5 minutes or so. Then it will get going and we will have to closely follow Mickey right out of the train...then move fast and then follow the instructions of the Cast “on stage”…..

And I am thinking…REALLY??? You want us to get on that train and go to the front of the park and be THAT FAMILY…the very lucky Family of the Day? I was shocked. Stunned. Amazed. Honored. Excited. Scared. And it all went by so fast. I am glad we have pictures!

We boarded the train with Mickey. :cloud9:

This was so cool. It was so laid back. Yeah…we are just hanging here with Mickey Mouse. He sat and “talked” to us. He showed the kids their autograph books which had been made special for them by a generous DISer – they were all filled out with each character’s signature.

I was glad I had my iPhone...because Barbara (our awesome CM photographer) still had my camera!

These pics may be a little strange, since they are from my phone.

photo-10.jpg

He asked how old each of them were. Which was interesting to figure out since he has only 4 fingers on his hands! It was a wonderful interaction!

When the train stopped for a few minutes, Mickey got out and got behind the boys so we could take some more pictures.

photo-15.jpg

Then the train got going again….

It was time!

Oh my gosh…look at that crowd! It was Labor Day morning, so there was quite a crowd out there!

What a morning!!!

You will like this next update...Mickey has the autograph books that YOU made for them and is showing them all of the autographs they got!

So cool to see the special autograph books in Mickey's hands!

So, I knew they got to be family of the day and open the park but it is still so amazing to see! They got to ride the train with all of the characters to the front of the park to open the park!!!! It gives me chills typing it so I can't imagine being there.

How cool is it that you kept seeing the family too!

Okay, so you know you are a Disney person to the core when the sight of Mickey holding autograph books you made for the boys just made your day and made you say "Look Mickey is holding the books - wow how cool is that!" I know I am in good company here and can confess that. :rotfl: I am glad Mickey and the boys liked them!
