A WISH for Cold Tea? Ana's aMAWzing Disney Trip! 12/1-12/7 ~Last Entry~ p.127

After visiting with the princesses and fairies, we thought it would be a good idea to visit Mickey & Minnie house. It was already 11:25 and our plan was to be out of MK by 1:30. We had to get a move on!

Minnie's house.

We made it though both houses fairly fast. It was sad knowing this would be our last time visiting Toontown as we know it. I hope the houses will be relocated and not done away with.

Juliana saw the Barnstormer across the way and wanted to ride on it. I remember the first time we brought her on it. She cried from the top of the first hill till she got off. I don't think we won any Parent of the Year awards after that experience. LOL

DSC00830.jpg

You will be glad to know Juliana loved the ride. She was hollering and laughing the whole time. WHEW!

The sun was shining and it was getting warm. This ended up being the warmest day of the trip. We left Toontown after another bathroom break and headed to Fantasyland. We were on a mission to ride on as many rides as we could. Dumbo was high on our list. It didn't take long before it was our turn.

Juliana rode with me.... guess who picked this color?

DSC00831.jpg

Melody all alone.... awwww poor Mel.

DSC00832.jpg

While Juliana was manning the controls, I was snapping pictures of the work being done in the distance.

Melody enjoying herself.

DSC00836.jpg

The ride was great (and quick) as always. We walked toward the castle for the chance to see any other characters from Cinderella.....

Continued next post......

We walked towards the castle and saw a fairy... not just any fairy though. It was the Fairy Godmother! When it was Juliana's turn, the Fairy Godmother LOVED her dress. She had to check out the whole thing. Juliana even had to show her that she was on the dress too!

DSC00839.jpg

The Fairy Godmother was so nice and cheerful.

Even princesses get thirsty.

DSC00844.jpg

There was one ride we have never done in Fantasyland- Snow White's Scary Adventures. We asked Juliana if she wanted to ride it and she said sure. We parked the stroller and walked toward the entrance. There was a mother, daughter, and grandmother walking by who had just been to the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique and I tried to nonchalantly snap a picture. I missed one of them but you get the point.

DSC00845.jpg

We couldn't decide if it was funny or cute?

Anyway... we made it on Snow White.

DSC00846.jpg

DSC00847.jpg

DSC00848.jpg

Let's just say that Juliana didn't like the ride. She spent most of the ride with her hands over her eyes. She was very upset by it. I think she was even crying by the end. Melody & I both thought it shouldn't of scared her but maybe she was just being dramatic again.

We needed to find something to cheer her up and I don't know anyone who would be sad during Mickey's Philharmagic!!!!

DSC00850.jpg

What a poser.

DSC00851.jpg

We really love this show. Juliana was trying to reach all the jewels that were flying near us. We were able to move quickly through the rides thanks to the GAC (Guest Assistance Card) and the GKTW button. We were making such good time that we stopped at Pooh and the Tea cups too.

This was our first time seeing the new cue for Pooh and everyone seem to love the play area and the Honey trees.

DSC00853.jpg

DSC00852.jpg

On to the Teacups.

DSC00854.jpg

DSC00856.jpg

Juliana loves spinning the Teacups as fast as she can.

DSC00857.jpg

When we got off the Teacups it was 1:40. Not too bad considering everything we did over the last 2 hours. We started to head towards the front of the park when Melody got a call from a lady she works with who was in MK that day with her family. We found a seat on the bridge near Cosmic Rays to wait for them.

Continued next post......

We sat on the bridge near Cosmic Rays and waited for a few minutes waiting for Melody's work friend to show up. It was nice to sit down for a minute and just relax. Her friend showed up and Juliana shared her lollipops with the kids.

DSC00858.jpg

We were talking with them for a few minutes when we saw Phineas & Ferb walk by.

DSC00859.jpg

Everyone was trying to talk with them but they were on a mission and weren't stopping to talk to anybody.

We talked for a few more minutes then said our goodbyes. On our way out we got to see Sean Kingston getting interviewed... well I guess it was more of Sean Kingston's backside.. but you get the point.

DSC00860.jpg

The castle all set up for the Christmas Parade performances. They make it look so much bigger on TV.

DSC00861.jpg

We were walking down Main St. just taking in the sights and sounds. I spotted a mailbox that was made right here in the good 'ol TAX YOU TO DEATH state of Connecticut.

DSC00863.jpg

DSC00865.jpg

We stopped at City Hall to pick up our purchases from earlier and saw a line to see Santa. We just HAD to see him!

DSC00869.jpg

We asked a CM where the correct place for us to go was and she made us feel bad for asking. She brought us up the exit line told us to sit on a bench. Then she told us that we should be thankful for sitting here and to look at all the people we were cutting. Wow, I totally felt like crap and guilty for being here. I wished we didn't ask to see Santa at all.

Soon, a different CM called us over to see Santa.

Photo0215FourBySix.jpg

Juliana was being shy and Santa was asking her what she wanted for Christmas. Melody & I were trying to listen to see if any new items made the list. LOL

Photo0220FourBySix.jpg

We had a short but nice visit with Santa. Juliana was very excited that she got to see him in Disney!

DSC00870.jpg

Juliana needed another bathroom stop before we left so off she went with Melody.

While I was waiting..

DSC00873.jpg

When they returned, Juliana found another little girl who had a custom Cinderella dress. Melody was talking to her grandmother who made the dress. I asked if I could take a picture of the Cinderella girls together.

DSC00874.jpg

We were about to leave to head to Hollywood Studios for the 2nd part of our day. We had a late lunch ADR at Momma Melrose and were getting excited to see the Osbourne Lights. We hopped on the monorail back to our car for the drive over. On the way, I spotted that ever elusive Tronarail.

Up Next... What can you fit around a 3:40 ADR in DHS?

Wohoo! Updates galore!

You got a LOT of things done in just one morning! :thumbsup2 I love to see Juliana's smiling face.
What is it with the Snowwhite ride? It is creapy, isn't it? Glad she recovered quickly!

Thanks for all the updates, you got me real excited here! I am trying to get all my paperwork together for our trip! :goodvibes

Great udate! How old is Juliana? 4? I was 4 when I went on Snow White and I remember being TERRIFIED and having the same reaction Juliana had. But then I love the Haunted Mansion? :confused3 I think its the Witch on Snow White that did it in for me. I rememeber her lunging/jumping out at you at the end of the ride. I thought for sure she was going to snatch me and take me away with her. :rotfl:

Wow, three updates in one! What were you thinkin' man? :confused3 Nobody would be crazy enough to try doing three at the same time!!! :rolleyes1

You got a lot done, and like you, I hope they keep the Mickey and Minnie houses intact somewhere in the new updates! You got some good pictures of a lot of construction going on!

I'm guessing YOU picked the pink Dumbo, what with your lost Man Cred and all.....

Glad Ana liked the Barnstormer this time! There are parts of the Snow White Ride that are dark and ominous, but good choice with Philharmagic to pep things back up! I love that show, and I try to grab all of those gems too! Just sayin'......

And what was up with the CM at Santa Claus??? That was just so bizarre!!! I made a little Wish Trip faux pas during our trip, but it was a misunderstanding and I was actually trying to be helpful, but I still felt bad when I was "educated" by the Mom!!! :guilty: But to knowingly make such comments is just very UN-Disney-like!!!

I love how she is pulling her dress out for everyone to see how cute it is :thumbsup2

What is it with MK and them being rude to wish kids. We had that treatment a lot there too :sad2:

Yikes, that was a lot of reading! :lmao:

Great updates, Tim. I'm really enjoying reading about all of Juliana's adventures, and just feel grateful that you're willing to share it all with us. Every now and then on the DIS, I get this moment where I think, you know, people are letting us into their lives, and it makes me so appreciative. So thanks! :)

Great Update !!! Goofy's Barnstormer is:scared1:How cute were the 2 princess' dresses !!Loved the Santa pix too !!!

Such a shame that Toontown is going away. I'm glad that Juliana got to experience it one last time.

Kind of surprising to hear about the CM at the Santa line. You'd think that they'd be used to dealing with GKTW guests and have a bit more positive attitude... hard to say maybe it had been a bad day.:confused3 It is definitely worth it to see Santa at Disney World though.

What the:eek:? 3 updates? Wow, you were busy last night!:goodvibes Ooooh so much to comment on!

I'm so glad you took Juliana to see Toontown, particulary Mickey and Minnie's houses. Soon it will be all gone. We spent a good part of our morning there this past trip too since I knew it would be our last. Isn't fun in there?

This pic is adorable and amusing...you're as tall as that tree!:goodvibes
DSC00826.jpg

Whew, Juliana loved Barnstormer! It looks fairly tame but the first time I rode it, I thought DD4 would freak! Nope, she was like Juliana, yelling and loving every minute of it. And look how cute this is:
DSC00830.jpg

I always mean to take pics on the coasters but I guess I'm too excited to remember once I get on!

It looks like everyone loved that gorgeous Cinderella dress Juliana was wearing! So sweet.

I"m sorry she didn't love Snow White's Scary Adventure. I could've predicted that since we had a very similar experience with my youngest. She too buried her head in my lap and covered her ears while crying! I felt like the worst parent in the world when we exited the ride, she was a mess and it was pretty much all my fault! At least Juliana got to ride it before it's gone, although I'm sure she won't remember it a positive thing though.

Warning, warning, future diva!
DSC00851.jpg

She's too cute Tim, you're going to be in trouble in about 10 years I think!:goodvibes

This is such an adorable pic, I love how her sweet little face is reflected in the turning disk of the tea cup!
DSC00856.jpg

Were you going for another artistic shot here?;)

Ok, Tim, I need the name of that nasty CM who made you and Mel feel crappy about seeing Santa. I'm thinking she needs a good talking to! That really irritates me, there is absolutely no reason for that kind of attitude toward you, Mel and Juliana. I hope it didn't put a damper on anything for you. Geez, Disney is supposed to be magical, that certainly wasn't. :headache:

But all that mattered was Juliana was excited to have seen Santa and this pic proves it!
Photo0215FourBySix.jpg

Awesome updates!:thumbsup2 Hmmm, maybe I should have replied in 3 separate posts to punish you for throwing up 3 at once??;) Looks like your MK day was a definite success. I hope it continued for HS too.

Looks like you had a wonderful morning/early afternoon at MK Tim.

About those older people who had been to BBB....I guess they have the right like anyone else, but I hope they didn't prevent some little girl from getting a princess make-over. :sad2:

Santa looks like he's spend a fair amount of time in the Florida sun.

wow you were busy last night doing all these updates!!

great photos of your princess! I think maybe you picked the Dumbo color :rolleyes1

Megan refuses to ride Snow White! told her it was going away so would be the last chance to ride it in WDW...she didn't care!

I hope they keep parts of Toontown too, love their houses!

To bad about the CM, hello, you have those buttons for a reason, guess she doesn't realize what Making a Wish come true means to the families!!!

Nice Ana shared her lollipops with her friends, just not her daddy ;)

Told megan I wanted to do BBB with her, you should of seen her reaction :scared1: she was "no mama please don't embarrass me!!!" so I guess I'm not going to get princessfied :sad2:

Yay for all the updates!! You guys got a lot done that morning. Shame on the CM helping Santa-so uncalled for and rude.

We made it though both houses fairly fast. It was sad knowing this would be our last time visiting Toontown as we know it. I hope the houses will be relocated and not done away with.

ToonTown isn't for me, so I can't say I'll miss it. But I feel for those of you that enjoy it.

I don't think we won any Parent of the Year awards after that experience. LOL

You too, huh? :sad2: :rotfl2:

We needed to find something to cheer her up and I don't know anyone who would be sad during Mickey's Philharmagic!!!!

Because you haven't met my kids yet! :sad2:

We talked for a few more minutes then said our goodbyes. On our way out we got to see Sean Kingston getting interviewed... well I guess it was more of Sean Kingston's backside.. but you get the point.

Cool! Sean Kingston! That's so awesome! I've always enjoyed watching Sean Kingston do...

Well, whatever Sean Kingston does. :confused3

What's up with that? You should have thrown a penalty flag for Un-Disney-like Conduct.

Juliana was being shy and Santa was asking her what she wanted for Christmas. Melody & I were trying to listen to see if any new items made the list. LOL

A carbine-action Red Ryder BB gun!

WOW look at all of those updates! Now I can't wait for Lhea to get home and show her all of the pictures. She follows all of the TRs with me and just loves the pictures.
I am also a little worried about the GAC and line cutting. There are 7 people in our family and no one is really disabled. But I would love to use it so we can see and do much more.
Thanks so much for sharing your trip!
