Such cute things. Love seeing all your sets with the plans for each day. I can't wait to see your finished sweatshirt and I'm glad to see you are making something for yourself. I LOVE the nemo sets, especially your DD's skirt but Gabriel looks so cute in his pants & t-shirt. The robot outfit looks great too.
As for flying with little ones, gate checking the stroller is the best way to go so you can "carry" all your stuff. I like to buy a bottle or two of water after we go thru security. My husband usually carries an empty water bottle with him and fills it up at the water fountain after security. I find that flying always makes me dehydrated so I like to drink lots of water. Gum and lollipops are handy too. I would bring something to entertain Gabriel that is not electronic, like some books and/or a new little toy. With a lap child you won't have alot of wiggle room and there is that long stretch of time when they don't let you use any electronics.
I always get stressed out thinking about going thru security but I figure that any savvy traveller in a hurry isn't going to get in line behind a family with two kids and a stroller. So I just take my time and send my husband thru first so he can get the kids and the stuff on the other end. Just think of it as practice for the bag line at the parks
Not sure if you are checking bags but I also bring extra clothes for the kids. If you are checking all your bags you might want to check the weather at home before your return flight. On our Dec trip we got stuck in FLA for an extra night because there was a huge snow storm in Michigan, but luckily I had kept a bag with clothes for everyone since the Magical Express had taken our bags right to the airline before our flight was cancelled.
sorry to ramble....
