You missed it, and I just posted a link, it's pg. 44, the winner has not come through with a mailing address yet, I'm wondering where she is.....:rolleyes1

Okay so I am seeing all this chitter chatter about JUNE and we all have trips before that, and I cannot plan more than one disney trip at a time -- CP were you actually going to buy DVC today "credit card in hand??!!" :rotfl: MY goodness you are excited by tote bags!!! OH. Wait. You are a teacher...

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Um, we are planning a trip for June, as well... but can't go before the 3rd week of June... School doesn't get out before that. We have to go before our APs expire.. Don't know if DH will splurge again for these...

ALSO about BLT.... OMGoodness that is so where I want to stay.

So I see October trips, and December trips and what is between December and June????

Oh, Minnie undies, FUH knee.

CP, just to entice you more...the DVC tote bag is lovely. It's very sturdy and BIG. Perfect for carrying home your souvenirs! :rolleyes1 I think it's hilarious that Charles was all about the bigger room - this is exactly Joe's thing too.

And it IS really nice to have your own space - kids in one area, adults in another....a kitchen for snacks or to cook and save $$ on meals. And I really like throwing in a load of laundry before we hit the parks, and re-packing my clean laundry for the flight home...

But the best part of DVC is that it means we go back and back and back! ;) DVC is wonderfully dangerous. We have our 2009 DVC trip planned, and our 2010 is in the making (December), and discussion of 2011 is a regular one around the house! Isn't it fun to play with all the points and dream???? :cloud9:

And I don't think Charles hates Disney. He just pretends! ::yes:: :goodvibes

Sorry for the hijack, just trying to enable...;)

His big thing was "Would we have enough points for a one-bedroom?"

Does anyone really cook in the kitchen? I don't know if we would use it, but I do love the idea of the washer and dryer.

Hey! We only rent points, of course, but in all cases with the kitchen we used it for heating up stuff, coffee, the full sized fridge for things, When my MIL came with my DH's grandma (back in 05) they used it, but that is b/c they hung back in the evenings with the kids... CP, I did laundry EVERY day this trip... I thought of you each time, b/c I remember you said you would do that!!!

Okay, no more crashing, sorry!!:flower3:

AH HA!!!!! I knew it! Dec - June... a long dry spell... :rotfl:

Ohhhh, but this June to Dec is really killing me, I'm one of the poor girls that isn't going on the Sept./Oct. DIS fest...:sad1:

His big thing was "Would we have enough points for a one-bedroom?"
Just make sure you buy enough....:lmao:

Cooking in the room........what a novel idea. The full kitchen does however have a full sized fridge with a FREEZER!! :thumbsup2 to laundry every night, yes, everynight!

If we hadn't purchased we would still be renting points, and may have to rent some for spring break, chatting on this thread is not crashing, feel free to chat away!:goodvibes

Okay... here you go...

Shameless mommy that I am...

Disney136.jpg

Now I am going to bed!!!:lmao:

CP, I was the good friend... I did not entice you more today, I chose to scrapbook the night away.

I already know we don't have enough points for multiple stays, but I will be fine (for a while).

As for someone feelings sorry for her no fall trip.... how many trips in the past year do you have? and yes I bet you will go spring break--- and that cruise will be divine!

I am sure the bigger rooms are what did it for DH... we were jammed with junk in our room with three little kids..... and I cannot wait to do free laundry (is it free if you have to use the community in a studio ?)

That way I can take less...

I love this picture, the boys are sooo cute in their little boypris! I'm going to be looking for you guys in December!

We will have to work things out with our exchange student to go in March, I'm hoping there will be a sponsored ski trip he can do since he probably won't want to go to Disney again.
You are right, I had plenty of trips...:cutie:

I've never used the community laundry but they are free! I can't imagine how jammed you must have been, I can barely stand the studio with Baylor! I heard that a 1br would ruin me and it did...:sad2:

Just make sure if you choose to purchase, that you allow a cushion of points. For example, if a week in a 1 bedroom at kidani is 224 points in a standard view in mid June (2010), Bay Lake standard view, same week, 272 and you know this is the view, length of stay and season you would want to travel in, then add a cushion of about 15-25 points to that total. A lot of members were affected by the point re-allocation this year for 2010. Good luck in making your decision!!! :goodvibes

That's why we come home early in June to avoid the point increase. One more point to ponder, if you move out to a less expensive resort for Friday and Saturday night, you can save a bunch of points...although this sounds like a pain, but it has been suggested by seasoned DVC members.

Great point, but I have a feeling that 2011 will see an even more equitable sharing of points distributed between weekday and weekends. Just a hunch, as I have not been a member that long, but it seems as if they want to even out travel between seasons and weekday vs weekends.:sad1:

:lmao: That's what I need to be doing instead of searching for information on the internet and playing with the calculator. ;)

Another good point! I was thinking a lot of times we could do a Sunday through a Saturday instead of a full week.

His big thing was "Would we have enough points for a one-bedroom?"

Just buy a ton! Why not??? :goodvibes We have 200 and it is enough for a 1 bedroom, but in the Value season and I believe in the "Dream" at some locations (like OKW, SSR, etc)

Does anyone really cook in the kitchen? I don't know if we would use it, but I do love the idea of the washer and dryer.

Does making a frozen pizza, coffee and bagels count? :rotfl2: In December we do plan to cook real meals. I've found a couple threads on the DVC boards about what people cook in their villas and there are some really great ideas for easy meals. It's great being able to fit cheap delivered water bottles in the full-size fridge so you can grab a couple on the way to the parks too and not have to pay so much in the parks for bottled water. Good for leftovers too!

You did well! ;)

Mission Accomplished! :thumbsup2

ME either, Wigd...

Oh but we can watch everyone else!!!! ;)

I am glad you liked my little men in their boypris!! And yes, we should look for eachother in Dec, when we start making plans!!!

Awwww, if you don't keep playing with that calculator you will never decide!

Another good point! I was thinking a lot of times we could do a Sunday through a Saturday instead of a full week.
Until this last trip, (with the exception of the long weekend in Oct) we had only done Sunday through Thursday stays. It was amazing being there for two weeks.
