A Wigdout trip report, DISmeets, Flashing Jelly Rings and Manpris, Oh MY!

I bet the rooms on those cruise ships are suffocation chambers to someone like me. I don't want to go on a cruise unless I can sleep out on the deck, I think.
I just wanted to be invited; that's all.

I'll be happy to read the reports you guys come back with.

They have rooms with windows, and they have rooms with balconies. Would either of those work for you?

I figure a Disney cruise would make for some great pictures, some great souvenirs, and a whole new way to scrapbook our Disney vacations.

Here is Chelsea showing the amount of heartbreak she was experiencing last night upon reading of Baylor's dissing of Bo...

Okay, I finally got through your earlier TR and now I am getting caught up on this one, so here is my two cents. These are either Manpris, or pants that are Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeallly too short... hopefully not pulled up past a natural waistline... I thought Manpris had a certain "flair" or "style" to them..... I see no "flair" and no "style" here...

My guess, 38 pairs with flair.
looking forward to catchin' up!

Wow, somebody must have slammed on the brakes and woke me up!! I awake to find that there is discussion about Manpris....:rotfl2:..... UMMMMMM, considering who is the OFFICIAL counter for this.......I am pretty sure that "flair" and "style" will NOT be considered in the count!!! :rotfl2::lmao: I am guessing that anything that hangs low, not counting his own "shorts" (:sad2:), will end up counting in the contest??? :rolleyes1

Then I realize that there is another discussion about a BIG Dismeet and Cruise that apparently you need an invite to go on??????????? :rolleyes1 :sad1:

So CP, would you both Disney and a Cruise or just one?? :rolleyes1

I don't know if I could swing a cruise next year but MAYBE if it becomes an annual Wigd/CP thing than I could jump on in another year or two. :lmao:

Blesseddaddy --- I can't believe Baylor gave up that easily either on Big Thunder either! He was trying to get me to go and I had already risked my life on that ride earlier so I wasn't gonna go. :lmao:

CP --- Tell Chelsea that I love her dramatic picture! ;)

Manpris discussion = :

Vera Bradley discussion =

Great update today. I just love the Castle at night. I am a bit shocked that Baylor was willing to bail so easily at BTMRR though, he must have had a long day?? I would have never thought that having a DisMeet would not only put faces with the names (yeah, you are lucky indeed Wigd....:lmao:), but would also cement friendships that I hope will last a life time. You know I do think Baylor ROCKS.......I can be his Bama DisUncle..... who he never gets to see, cause his uncle can't live at Disney like he and his "folks" can!!!! ;)
I'm glad you got to meet LL, she sounds like a lovely, caring individual that truly knows her Disney!! Maybe not as much as my Disnephew, Baylor, but she seems to have the same love for Disney as many others around here!!

I do have to agree with my Brother, Shocker, I am NO thief ........and I don't have the patience (obviously...:, when can we expect the next update???..no really Wigd., when??? ) to do a Trip Report that would be helpful to those that were headed toward Disney or needing to keep the memory alive for just a bit longer from a recent trip made there!! I am merely here, to help my Brother........by pointing out when he SCORES and maybe more importantly when he DOESN'T!!!!!!!!! :lmao: As well as to learn how to do Disney the bestest I can for any future trips for my girls!!

One final thing, before I lay down back here for a bit in the backseat and take a nap.........I recall that you made many changes to your ADRs prior to your trip............well, even some changes DURING your trip.........so, I was wondering about the rules to changing our guesses on the Manpris Contest???? I have noticed after all my calculating, that I have been BOXED in!!!!!!!!!
I think with all of your calculations they must think you are on the right track, but if you would like to change your guess you certainly may!:thumbsup2
Sure; all you famous people just go ahead and plan your meets and leave us common folks out! :snooty:

As for the heat, didn't tinkgurl report it being 103 the day she arrived? Wowser!

This heat wave has 32 days left, and then it's time for a nice ten day break. :thumbsup2

I hope you guys do get to do a cruise! :yay:
That's for the jumping jacks you'll be doing out on the deck each morning to get yourselves going.
We would love nothing more than your wonderful company on a cruise!
You could come, too, LL! :goodvibes

Yes, LL, you could experience Disney magic and save your poor feet.:goodvibes

Yes, we do! Were you thinking of a 3-night or a 4-night cruise? We were thinking 4-nights -- 3-nights just seems so short. There is a cruise sailing on June 4 on the Wonder. One day in Nassau, one day at Castaway Cay, and one full day at sea! :thumbsup2

You should come and do jumping jacks, too, MeMom! :thumbsup2

Oh, I hope it cools down by the time you get there -- it was super hot while we were there, but it was manageable. I can't imagine trying to do anything when it is 104!

June 4th is the exact same cruise Marc was looking at...... looking good already!;)
MeMom you could also take morning walks around the deck, if you knee will allow you to.

We counted anything that hit the calf/ankle area.:lmao: I have you down for 38!
Woo hoo, come on 33!! Looking forward to more trippie!!
I'm waiting to be tagged before I update again.:rolleyes1

MeMom, as soon as I saw "the rooms on those cruise..." I pictured you with a hammer and a room full of snow globes.........:rotfl2:
The rooms aren't like being stuffed in a closet or anything.

Awwww look at that cute little face, Baylor already thinks he knows how she will look when I post the other one.:scared1:

MeMom, they also have some cabins on the boat that have drapes over a wall just to make it look like there is a window there. We had one of those when we sailed Carnival........:confused3:lmao::confused3

I would like to do both, but since the orthodontist said the dreaded words today when I took Chelsea for her growth evaluation, "It's time," I may not be able to swing both. Since Charles and the kids have expressed their desire to do a cruise, I guess that would take precedence :(.

I will pass along the praise to Chelsea...

I will not be paying attention to fashion ("flair" and "style") when I count, but I promise not to include any shorts that are saggin'....:lmao:

I wondered where you were this afternoon.....:sad2:

We are off to a baseball game......go Diamondbacks!:cheer2:

Ewww to braces! I refused braces as a child. :rotfl:

I have the disney cruise line website pulled up....:rolleyes1

Chelsea tried to tell me she didn't want them today, and I told her she didn't get to make that decision. ;)

I'll tell you what sent me over the edge -- when I went to the library yesterday, they had the 2009 Passporter's Guide to Disney Cruises. I have had a hard time putting it down.

In my defense, my mom got a second opinion and they thought the first doctor was nuts. I did have a retainer though.

It will be around Marc & I's anniversary....:rolleyes1

I'm about to have a real serious talk with my crazy knee. It is too close to Disney time for it to be feeling this bad. If I thought an ortho doctor would give me a shot and send me on to have fun in the sun, I would go, the pain is that bad. But, a doctor would probably tell me not to PASS GO TO DISNEY and send me straight to a surgeon or something crazy, so I'm just waiting until we get back. I've even been contemplating buying a collapsible crutch (just one) to have in my bag for when it gets too bad. If I take about five Advil and try not to put weight on it, it helps. I'm wondering if I could make one crutch tucked secretly at my side work for me without embarrassing my kids. The pain comes and goes, so I would only have it out when I had to have it. Trouble is, the collapsible crutch I saw on the internet was $89!

I self-diagnosed a few days ago. I matched like 5 out of 6 or 6 out of 7 whichever it was symptoms for osteoarthritis, so that's likely what it is.

It probably does sound nuts to you, but the thought of being below deck just makes me take a deep breath! I'd be breaking out windows with my hammer and probably sink the whole ship, so it might ruin things for the rest of you!

As for the fake windows covered by curtains, they can't fool me!
I know there are walls there, and I know that they close slowly in around you as you sleep at night!

I will be happy to see you all off at the dock and wait for your return in Disney World in an open room somewhere. :thumbsup2

Chelsea, good luck with the braces. I know they've come a long way in the past few years on making them easier to live with, so she'll probably do great. You can just barely even tell some people even have them.

Sounds to me like you girls should give in and start planning this awesome cruise!

MeMom! Have you tried a brace? I hurt my knee years ago and at the time when it bothered me, just having a brace helped a lot... :confused3

This thread is keeping me laughing. :rotfl:

I was on the DCL website today myself. I was looking at a possible short cruise with some days at WDW. I really want to go back in December so I was looking at 12/2010 dates. :cloud9:

Sounds to me like you girls should give in and start planning this awesome cruise!

WOW, MEMOM you are my HERO......you ALSO noticed that the GIRLS were the ONLY ones getting to plan and then they were ONLY inviting who they wanted.......ummmmmm, ummmmmmm, oh excuse me, we must have hit a bump in the road and something got caught in my throat....... :rolleyes1

June 4th is the exact same cruise Marc was looking at...... looking good already!;)

Oh, goody!!!

So, when are you thinking of deciding for sure??? :rolleyes1

Actually it was this morning, but Chelsea and Connor were monopolizing the computer today.

Did you all win???

In my defense, my mom got a second opinion and they thought the first doctor was nuts. I did have a retainer though.

It will be around Marc & I's anniversary....:rolleyes1

Oh, I wish Chelsea just needed a retainer -- unfortunately she has my teeth (Connor, too), and her bottom teeth are just too crowded.

See, you should take a cruise for your anniversary...:rolleyes1

All staterooms are above the water line -- that was a big thing for me -- I couldn't stand the thought of being underwater. :scared: Which is ironic since my dad was a submariner when he was in the Navy. I clearly didn't get my claustrophobia from him.

Chelsea, good luck with the braces. I know they've come a long way in the past few years on making them easier to live with, so she'll probably do great. You can just barely even tell some people even have them.

I will pass along your comments. :goodvibes It doesn't help that her friends keep filling her ears about the painfulness of everything. :headache:

Sounds to me like you girls should give in and start planning this awesome cruise!

I agree! :thumbsup2

Shocker did such a good job spotting Manpris on this trip that he will be great at judging which ones count!:thumbsup2
Not that you need an official invitation to cruise with us, here it is anyway Chris, would you and your lovely family care to take a cruise with us next June? Now, can I talk to Tracey?

So CP, would you both Disney and a Cruise or just one?? :rolleyes1

I don't know if I could swing a cruise next year but MAYBE if it becomes an annual Wigd/CP thing than I could jump on in another year or two. :lmao:

You the man!:thumbsup2 Now get to counting........
Ewww to braces! I refused braces as a child. :rotfl:

I have the disney cruise line website pulled up....:rolleyes1
I'm weird, I loved my retainer......
How does the website look?;)

Chelsea tried to tell me she didn't want them today, and I told her she didn't get to make that decision. ;)

I'll tell you what sent me over the edge -- when I went to the library yesterday, they had the 2009 Passporter's Guide to Disney Cruises. I have had a hard time putting it down.

She will thank you later!
I need to go in search of that Passporter!

In my defense, my mom got a second opinion and they thought the first doctor was nuts. I did have a retainer though.

It will be around Marc & I's anniversary....:rolleyes1
Yay for the retainer, did I say how much I loved mine?
I think an anniversary with a few of your DISbuddies sounds very romantic.

MeMom, now I'm all worried about your knee, have you ever driven an ECV? Don't let pain ruin your trip.........
MeMom! Have you tried a brace? I hurt my knee years ago and at the time when it bothered me, just having a brace helped a lot... :confused3
OK, so maybe a brace would be worth a try.....

I hear a cruise is the perfect way to rest up after a Disney stay!

You know you are invited!
Oh, goody!!! :goodvibes

So, when are you thinking of deciding for sure??? :rolleyes1

We will be able to book, our resort stay in about a week, so I'm thinking very soon.

Is that a hint or something? ;)

I don't know, are you "it"? I do think it's your turn though.

Oh, I can't wait to see the next one!

I think he is quite proud of the next one.:rotfl2:

Actually it was this morning, but Chelsea and Connor were monopolizing the computer today.

We did!:yay:

Baylor needs to have some work done as well!
LL, just say yes to the cruise!

Oh no! Is there medication that a doctor can prescribe for your knee or a shot he could give you before you go?

I hope you get that knee situation taken care of MeMom, I'm still thinking ECV!

All staterooms are above the water line -- that was a big thing for me -- I couldn't stand the thought of being underwater. :scared: Which is ironic since my dad was a submariner when he was in the Navy. I clearly didn't get my claustrophobia from him.

Hmmmm, I never thought of the rooms being underwater, we were just in the bowels of the boat........

I will pass along your comments. :goodvibes It doesn't help that her friends keep filling her ears about the painfulness of everything. :headache:

Shame on them, a dose of ibuprofen before an appointment works wonders!

I agree! :thumbsup2

Hmmpphhh. You can come, too, BD! I am pretty sure Disney will gladly welcome aboard anybody willing to pay.
Yes, I have officially invited him! :)

The good thing about getting an "official" diagnosis, is that there are things like gout, injuries like sprains and tears that may be treatable by different means. I hope it doesn't cramp your vacation too badly!! Another plus is if it is osteoarthritis you can get a cortisone shot that will often give you a lt of relief!! Good luck!!

Hmmpphhh. You can come, too, BD! I am pretty sure Disney will gladly welcome aboard anybody willing to pay.

WOW, thank you so much for the invite, such a carefully worded invitation, I am impressed. I am sort of like MeMom though......was really just wanting to be included, the only difference between us is that with me being CHEAP is what would likely keep me from boarding such a Magical Ship!!

Chris, would you and your lovely family care to take a cruise with us next June? Now, can I talk to Tracey?

DOUBLE WOW and why yes, thank you so much Wigd. I never expected such a special and expensive offer........I am almost speechless!! It is so nice of you to offer to take our lovely family on a cruise with you. Of course, you can talk to Tracy, I will make sure that she can get you our SS numbers and any other information you might need to be able to add us to your account, so that you can fulfill this MAGICAL DREAM COME TRUE for me!!! YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!

Relax, Shocker..........I know what Wigd. meant!!! Now you get back to counting Manpris and send me my prize!!!! :rotfl2:

MeMom, I do hope that you find some relief before you trip!!
